Can Non-Us Citizens Have an American Amazon Affiliate Account?

Title says it all. Just wondering - I'm in uk and have an amazon.co.uk affiliate account - can I open one on amazon.com.

I do remember trying in the past but couldn't sort it out.

Appreciate any help.

      You can cross promote.

      One thing I am unsure of though is if you have UK traffic and send them to amazon.com if you will get credit for it.

      I'm betting they automatically forward the traffic to the .co.uk version, but I'm not 100% sure. Never had a UK account to test it out.

    I'm Indonesian, live in Borneo island.
    I have Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk account.
    No problems so far....

    There are no resident restrictions. They have about 5 different affiliate accounts to cover the whole world, and I signed up for all of them when I joined, no problems at all. Not that I've used them all.

    It is a problem with their system that if someone sees your amazon.com affiliate link but they won't deliver to Canada (they will deliver some things, not others) the customer has to find it on amazon.ca and the affiliate looses the commission. (sigh)
