Who or what would you recommend for a newbie who wants to start in the UK??

Hi All

A potential customer/client has contacted me about "internet marketing/make money online" and advice on who to learn from. I could give him lots of names. We tend to work with off line businesses mainly. Anyhow it got me thinking for a newbie who would you guys recommend as the top guy or girl for 2010??

Best Wishes

Denise

Like you mentioned there's a ton of people out there, and again it depends on what area of IM your interested in.
One guy who seems to be getting some good results with newbie's is Chris Farrell.

I agree with this Although I don't know him myself or have a membership to his site, I've seen lots of his videos and he is very warm, friendly and offers lots of value

In addition, I highly recommend he signs up here and spends lots of time browsing and soaking up all the great info on offer

    In a nutshell...

The quiet ones who are often self-effacing in respect to their achievements.

    Advise your client to...

    • Be cautious with self-proclaimed gurus.
    • Avoid like the plague those who constantly peddle their wares and brag about what they earn on forum posts because invariably they are not interested in helping you only taking money from you.
    • Go with their gut instinct and get used to making their own decisions because to succeed online you are going to have to make a few difficult ones.

    Worked for me.

    Garry.

        Hi Denise,

I am also based in the U.K. I agree with the other posts in thats its difficult to know who to fully trust in this business. Going with my experience one guy I would recommend is Lee Mcintyre and he is a U.K based marketer. Another guy I would recommend is Jason Fladlien.

Both of these guys are good teachers, and their products have plenty of value in them as well.

        Hope this helps.

Being in the UK is kind of a red herring in internet marketing terms.

I would recommend that your client joins this forum.

It's kind of a strange question. I would ask them what they mean. I've been asked similar questions by clients - often they don't actually mean what they say. People hear terms and don't understand that they are using them in, perhaps, the wrong context.

Your client might actually be asking for help with improving their business sales - often people are thinking that perhaps they might try selling on Ebay - or they want an ecommerce store so that they can sell online as well as offline. I realise that is IM - but they want to use IM for a specific purpose. Not just a general newbie asking "how do I earn money online".

I'll second the recommendation for Jason Fladlien. I think he's someone to keep and eye on for 2010. I just posted a review of his Squeeze Pages WSO on my blog here:

          Hope that helps,

His question isn't specific enough. Get him to clarify it first.

In other words, does he have products to sell? Does he want to create products? Want to be an affiliate? Want to create their own content? Know how to build sites? etc...etc...etc...

Get them to be more specific otherwise one can waste SO much time!

Huh um!Well, the most respected internet marketer I can tell about is Steve Wagenheim. This man is absolutely too much.He knows what he is doing when it comes to internet marketing. And his customer service is top notch which 99.9% of internet marketers don't do.He's always walking his talk.

Words can't explain this man.He blew me off, des;pite the fact that I can't buy info-product from my own part of the world.
