Question on Info Product Sales

I know there are many products out there being sold to people when those same people could find a similar product for free on Youtube.

My question is, does that make a difference in sales? Are you still able to find buyers even if a similar product is available on YouTube?

I am thinking of exploring a niche but I know of a similar product can be found on YouTube if someone looks hard enough.

Thoughts?

When I was creating my first product, there were already some similar products out as well as some Youtube videos about it...

So I went a step above them and made the product unique, kept it broad but more targeted, and found a different selling angle.

When it comes down to it, there isn't much, if any, information products you can sell that you can't find suitable free content online that covers the same thing, but a good many people don't want to hunt for it, and don't want to take notes and organize the information they find so it's easy to follow and implement.

The bottom line is, information products are a convenience, a time saver, and a frustration saver, and people will pay for that. Always have, always will as long as there is a viable economic system in place.

Good point Dennis. So your advice is to do it anyways right?

I am exploring the Golf Club repair niche.
