Sometimes you want to be a hermit.

There could be many reasons. Someone with a job doesn't want their boss or co-workers to find out what they are doing. A divorced or separated person doesn't want their ex to find them or find out what they do. The employment someone has doesn't allow "moonlighting". A marketer might be in several niches and doesn't want to reveal them.

Here are some thoughts on how to be a hermit.

Get a pen name/s, quite obvious

Use a UPS or Mail Boxes Etc. type of address
- this is important to protect the location of your home. You don't want stalkers, customers, etc. showing up. I've seen too many marketers using their home address and anyone with Google can see their home on Google Maps.

Put your real estate in the name of a trust and name it differently from your name
- Its easy in some areas to lookup real estate information and find out where you live and what you own. I've even seem come famous entertainers violate this one and they should know better or be advised by someone that knows.

Get an entity such as an LLC to run all your business through.

Register domains in the name of one of your LLC's and use your UPS address.

Use a pen name as your registered contacts for your domains.

Get rid of your land line listing in the phone book. Change the number or get Magic Jack or a cell phone.

That's a start. I'm sure there are more things you could do. Anyone have others?

This mite sound sneaky, or ass-backwards. But if you create an LLC in Arizona. This is because the mafia runs that state. In Arizona, they don't ask for name, country of origin and if you do it right, they don't ask for ss#. However, if your going threw all this trouple to hide who you really are, I think you must ask yourself, is this really something I want to be getting in.

Somethings I totally agree with. I think you should always use a P.O. box for your online business. Think of it this way, we all know the the money is in the list. And the bigger the list the better chances of someone buying. Now according to the FBI, 1 out of every 150 people mite be a murder. So I ask you, how many murder's do you have on your list. ...and some people call me paranoid

    Have a fancy day...or something...
