Best Newsletter Setup

Hi guys

This may seem like a silly question, dunno.
Im looking at setting a responder up for our local gym with a monthly newsletter. Was thinking that for better traffic etc would it work ok to post the newsletter on their blogsite and then email a plain text(or light html) email with the link to the page.
not sure if that would hurt how many view it or not.
Was thinking that this gets rid of the formatting issues with the emails and also keeps their website active in the search engines eyes
sorry for rambling
any thoughts are appreciated

Josh

If you have customers that register to the gym the first thing would be to get as many as possible to give you their email addresses. That way you can send the link to their personal email address as well as posting a link to the newsletter on the blog. This way you would also target members that may not visit the gyms blog site that often.

The bonus to also collecting members email addresses is that it offers the gym another sales avenue to go down, with special offers and fitness courses. Most members would give you their email address if you explained that it would mean they would be some of the first to hear about special discounts and offers.

Thanks Gaz59, so do you think it is best to have each newsletter setup as a static page on the website and direct people there to read it via email etc.

Sounds like that would be much better for seo than actually emailing a newsletter as the website content is getting updated

      Thanks
