Which Do You Prefer? Video or eBook?

I'm planning to launch a new product probably priced at $97.

Would you buy a video series or PDF series?

    I would buy both.

Books are good at giving the foreground and videos are great to simply understand things and follow along.

I especially like the step by step videos.

    Makes things easier to follow

    PDF Series are better.

    I prefer to have both.

When I watch videos, I take notes. Having the PDF allows me to concentrate on what is said and then I can go back later and review.

    My learning preferences are...

1st Choice - Video by far is my first choice (especially if it's learning software) IF and that's a big IF, it's done well, gets to the point quickly without a lot of rambling and fluff.

2nd Choice - Audio books - I buy lots of audio books and I actually finish them. When I buy regular books I never finish them and sometimes I don't even start them. I buy them because I want the information they hold, but I never seem to find the time to sit down and read them.

3rd Choice - PDF's - Like with books I download PDF's because I do want the information, but I often don't get around to reading them. If the PDF is short and really good info I may read the whole thing. It is good to have a PDF along with a video just to use as a quick reference.

I know I'm in the minority, but I live in the boondocks and watching video on dialup is just not an option. If you don't offer at least both, I wouldn't be interested in your offer.

To stay competitive in today's market you need to utilize both. I would use video as your main training source then have pdf's to compliment...by compliment I mean including a summary in pdf format. Its easier to re-read a particular point than it is to find it again in a video

I prefer to read ebooks when I am not in the mood of taking action and to learn things in general. On the other hand, I prefer videos on specific subjects about how to do this or that and follow steps and take action.

I much prefer video, it's a lot easier to follow and it's more effective for getting your message across.

I prefer both. Step-by-step videos are my favorite, especially when I try to learn something. But I think for other people it depends on the primary way of information perception. For example, I can remember information from videos better, than from audio materials, because I'm have a primary visual way of information perception.

    It depends on the product

Video is great for demonstrating something and keeping your buyers interest, but PDFs can be better for explaining things that require you to type in something specific...
or to give you a quick reference, template or checklist

Both, but only if the PDF isn't just transcript of the videos. I would want the PDF to stand entirely on its own in case I wasn't able to download the videos or didn't want to watch them. I prefer reading to watching, but I like to have videos available in case I need more instructions.

I always prefer PDF. They allow reading after printing. Taking notes is easier. You can refer back whenever you wish to.

I'm going to make a product about making money online, and it's going to be a 12-week step-by-step program.

    This is my plan:

$27 front-end product, upsell prospects with a complete blueprint for a total of $97, or $127 if they want the videos.

    Would this work?

    I prefer pdf.

unless the video is the step by step guide, I tend to take it in better then by reading it.

If I see it's a video course I would not even bother so I guess having both would be the best option.

Or like some you could sell the pdf and use the video optin as an oto upgrade.
