I have a G1 android and have really enjoyed it. Just wished it had a larger screen for viewing. Other than that I got no complaints,

Wish I could say. I am under contract with a BB Storm. I like the slide out keyboard feature of the Droid. Definitely the next phone I want to get. I did see a demo at the Verizon store of the voice activated Google Maps and that worked really well.

I don't have one personally but have a few friends that do. The general consensus seems to be get the one with the slide out keyboard. The one with the soft keyboard is a little small for man-sized fingers.

I have Motorola Droid and I absolutely love it. I use it for some WordPress stuff in my blogs, keeping up with my analytical, AdSense information, and I also use it as a toy.

But my weekday alter ego uses it for E-mail and the normal business-related basics as well. It's a great phone, a great OS, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I have a G3 Google HTC Droid Eris.

If I had to choose between keeping my laptop or my droid, I'd choose the Droid.

If I can think of something I want it to do there is an app for it. And it's open source so more apps are coming.

A friend of mine who has an ipone asked how was the droid on batteries. I said I don't worry about batteries because I carry 2 spares. He just looked sad and said, I can't even change the battery in my iphone, it's sealed, I can only recharge it.

I could write a 10,000 word ebook on droid uses for Internet marketing. Half the posts I do here are with the droid and it's voice recognition key board. It's no where near as good as Dragon, however it's faster than typing on the Droid.

I don't want to stop this post I like the Droid so much, but I'll stop now.

George Wright, P.S. Since I got my Droid I've "sold" 4 or 5 more, because when friends see mine and everything it does they just gotta have one.

I was at the Google offices a few weeks ago and all my old coworkers were given the nexus one for christmas..got to play around with it. I thought it was awesome. I have an iphone right now..but I definitely thought the nexus one offered comparable browsing experience. It was pretty damn smooth. The only thing that is holding me back from getting the nexus is that it doesn't have as many apps as the iphone has now.

Brittany, you have some very lucky old coworkers! I think that google's android operating system for smartphones is rapidly catching up to the iphone, and in a year or two I'm guessing that their app store will be comparable to or even surpass Apple's, since it is open source and developers do not have to contend with Apple's draconian rules and regulations when it comes to submitting apps.

I'm currently using a blackberry tour on Sprint, but I'm seriously looking at their google phone (the samsung moment), as it has this really nice AMOLED screen and a slide out keyboard. While the Nexus One looks good, I don't think I'd be able to do away with a physical keyboard, it is pretty much a prerequisite for me! The only decent up to date Google phones with keyboards (that I can think of anyway) are the Motorola Droid, Samsung Moment, and the brand new just-announced Motorola Backflip. I certainly hope more will be on the way!

Yeah I think youre right... I think the Google app store will catch up to the Apple one.

I forgot another thing I LOVE about the nexus one is the screen revolution. It was ammmmaazing. I used to stick with just blackberrys and I thought I wouldn't be able to get rid of the physical keyboard but after practice with the iphone I'm just as fast with the iphone keyboard (maybe not just as fast but it gets the job done). It is harder to type and walk though...

I would love to see a very thin iphone type phone (or nexus one with a bigger app store) that slides out with a physical keyboard but still has an amazing screen...

I'm typing this on an Android phone...the Hero. I love it. The number of free apps is mind-boggling. I constantly find all kinds of Google apps and try them cause I try to embrace the big G as much as possible.

I have all kinds of G apps hooked up; Docs, Adsense, Listen, Maps, Latitude, etc. I wonder if there is any benefit to G knowing where I am at all times?

It hooks in really well with my Facebook & Flickr too. I upload pics on the go. I just wish I understood Flickr marketing. Probably leaving money on the table....

Anyway, I'd love to get that 10,000 page book, George, if you ever write it.

It shouldn't be about the quantity of apps, but the quality and usefullness of the apps. There are so many stupid apps for both platforms that I just can't go by the bulk number anymore. I mean there is an app on the iphone that counts how long your phone is in freefall when you throw it in the air.

I love Android. I was using Android 1.1, 1.5, and 1.6 on an HTC Touch for a long time. Absolutely loved it even with the restrictions by hardware.

The only thing worthwhile on the droid is that it has a physical keyboard, otherwise the Nexus One blows it out of the water. Got to love that they got a 1ghz chip into a phone. It also has a big beautiful screen as well.

Unfortunately Tmobile has no 3g in my area and I despise Verizon.
