Why Does Mozilla Thunderbird not work with Yahoo and MSN mail?

I create a lot of Yahoo and MSN email accounts for my clients, but for some reason it does not let me use those in my Mozilla Thunderbird program.

Is this a problem with the software?

It tells me that the password is not right, or that it does not recognize it. I have quadrupled checked that everything was right, but it seems like it is not going to let me.

It works fine with my Gmail account.

Does anyone else have this problem, and if so is there a way to fix it?

    You need to use an add-on for this..

    Thunderbird have a WebMail extension thingy to overcome this issue.

    My wife has Thunderbird on her laptop (I installed it ) and she regularly checks her yahoo account from there, too. I mean it is set up to download the mail from Y!.

    I admit, we didn't set it up yesterday... but quite a while.

    I have installed the Add-on but I cannot seem to figure it out still. It still gives me the same error.
