Viralurl.com Still a Good List Builder?

I wish to have a good list builder to send out emails. I heard many good things about viralurl.com.
Is this still effective?
What is the open rate for a broadcast? (for 3000 members)
Is there any another list builder effective than viralurl.com?

    GarrieW - do you mind sharing what sort of results you've seen with Viral URL? I saw a video of an IM product released about a year ago where the person logged into Viral URL and bought a solo ad for the whole list (around $400).

    Within a day he'd closed about $800 in sales. I think he eventually got $1,500.

    I went ahead and signed up for Viral URL but both Yahoo & Gmail tag every email from them as spam by default.

    I'm wondering if any warriors still use Viral URL and see good results from them?
