I Need Honest Opinions On This

Ok, so me and my friends are doing a youTube show which we'll become a partner when it has subscribers and make some money (and hopefully) become one of those top subscribers.. but however.. we're stuck.

We need opinions\suggestions\ideas for improving the show because we can't ask our friends.. they're biased opinions.. of course they'll like it.

The channel to the YouTube is TwinkTV it's kinda like a myspace just go to the main domain name Youtube then TwinkTV after it (I can't post links yet). We just want reviews whether they're good or bad and we want to hear them all.

Thanks for your time WF

Regards,
Chris, Corey and Jon.

Try to get someone to make you a nice
background and logo- You can find people
on the forum who will do it for $25 (Professional Logo)

    It's too simple...

In your profile description, make sure you
tell me (the viewer) what your site is about...

...Tell a story- Stories sell and persuade
    prospects...

e.g. My roommate and I like to fart around a lot
and our friends think we're funny- so we started
this site because: blah blah blah

►►►Make sure you give a REASON WHY people
    should SUBSCRIBE TO YOU...

Make sure you put text in the beginning of
your videos and at the end, that ask people
to subscribe► A Call to action will most
positively give people precise directions on
    what to do...

Try to place strategic images at the mid
point of the video, that's the image that
will show when people are looking for stuff
    on youtube...

The More Appealing the Image- The more
    views you'll get...

Put keywords that match the title
That will get you search Engine optimization-
People will find you on Google, not just Youtube...

-Always make sure you have at least one of your
    tag words into your title-

    - Make your title "Blind"
Meaning it raises curiosity, enough to get people
to wanna Click what's in it:

"What can possibly bring a Warcraft-Nerd and a Genius to blows? AVATAR?!?!?!?"

When your tags are congruent with your title,
Google and Youtube like that better-
    For your
Avatar video you put "Brittany Murphy" I didn't
watch the entire video... But it doesn't seem like
    you speak about Brittany-

-People will come to your youtube, realize there's no
    Brittany Murphy and Bounce!

Create a Website or a myspace or a Squidoo a hubpage that links to
your Youtube page... The more outside links the better...

Get youtube friends, post what they ask you to post,
and they will post your stuff too...

Make sure you ASK PEOPLE TO SUBSCRIBE at least in
three different places in your Profile...

I'm probably not your target audience, but the racial slur in the title of one of your videos made me not want to watch any of them at all.

My first impression is that I would be in for a "South Park" style format full of vulgar obscenities.

I didn't watch because I have small children awake in this house, and my pre-disposition from that one title set off warning flags... * That is NOT a word I want my 4 year old repeating.

Of course, there is a market for the audience I'm assuming you will appeal to, judging by the success of South Park anyway. Study that market. Then cater to them.

      Thanks DanielleS,

There's not a lot of curse words in the show but we do put a censored beep sound effect covering up all the words that need be

The other thing to consider is going outside of just Youtube. Go to TubeMogul and get it sent to about 10-15 other sites as well. It will bring in a broader audience and greater exposure to traffic.

I agree with Olivier above, as far as the other steps to getting some exposure, and I agree with Danielle above...I am probably not your target audience either. LOL

Oh and another thing: Tag Your Video
as a response to other videos on youtube who
get a lot of views on a similar topic as yours...

    SmartEntrepreneur
    said something: Use Tubemogul:

I use it in my testing and get thousands
of views for every video I put out... Without
    depending on a loyal fanbase.

Let me explain how Tubemogul works:
    It's a video distribution site,

You make a video- You post it there, and it
will post to your youtube, metacafe, Yahoo
Video, Blip.tv, Veo, Dailymotion and of Course
    the big Kahuna: Youtube...

All this with one upload and by touching 1 button...

You get traffic from all over the place when
you distribute your videos- You'll have one up
    on the competition...

    TubeMogul.Com keeps
analytics for you of your videos in all
the different sites that it posts to...

It's a great Free tool- A better tool
    than TubeMogul is Traffic Geyser,
It distributes to more sites; which
gets you found on the SERPs
    (Search Engine Result Pages)

    but Traffic Geyser
    costs $97 a month...

    TubeMogul is free, so....

It's your choice- And don't think
about getting traffic on youtube alone,
because the more you get traffic from
your other video sites, the more you can
direct people to come watch your videos
    on youtube...

Again Good Luck Bro- This info We're
giving you is Gold, I know you can litterally
quadruple your traffic overnight with the tips
I gave you alone- it seems like you're not
    getting to much of anything...

    Peace Out!

Thanks for the opportunity to get something off my chest. Regarding Traffic Geyser, they apparently have nothing on offer right now except a $2495 "business in a box" where they teach people to go out and market video SEO services to local businesses for multiple thousands up front and then hundreds to thousands per month for local search terms.

The reason I'm unhappy with them is that I was offered a free 30 day trial at a site that a link in one of their emails (about a week ago) took me to. Then, when I clicked the 30 day free trial link, it took me to a sales page with no free trial, and instead, the option to purchase the $2495 system.

A recent trip to their blog confirmed that they are not offering any free trial, or even the chance to pay a monthy fee, but this email came after my visit to their blog. I was under the impression that if you advertise something for free, the law requires you to deliver on the offer.

I brought this up in a support ticket at their site. The reply I got was that they were in the process of "updating" the sales page, and wait until I see the great offer they'll have in about a week (have yet to check back). That seems to me to fall short of answering my question "where is the free trial you promised me?", but they seemed to think "updating the sales page" is a good enough excuse to justify the bait and switch.

Anyway, all this is to say-for now, forget about Traffic Geyser, and go with Tube Mogul, unless you have a spare $2500 you don't mind shelling out for what appears to be a pretty lame business model (since most businesses will get a negative ROI if they pay thousands to be #1 in the serps for local search terms).
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Update as of Jan 26:

Yesterday I actually was able to get Traffic Geyser's free trial. Several times in the past I clicked a bunch of sponsored links advertising the free trial, and each time I was re-directed to the business in a box page, but yesterday, after one such redirect, I was able to get the free trial from the next link I clicked.

So far I've watched a couple hours of the teaching videos for new members and have to say I'm excited with what seem to be stellar capabilities of their vast service, and incredibly clear and professional teaching videos-among the best I've seen in the IM arena. They are designed so that any newbie can understand what to do. I recommend the free trial for anyone. If this goes as well as I expect, I will be staying on after the trial is over.

I'm not trying to be a hardass, and not insisting on proper grammar-I often don't use it myself. But I seriously can't even understand what your words mean. Can you rephrase this so it makes sense please-then maybe you'll get more feedback. I'm sorry if I'm just being dumb, but this looks to me like another example of internet-speak that's so convoluted that what it means is anybody's guess.

You asked for honest feedback so here it is: you're trying too hard to be funny, and coming off lame and forced. You need to come up with some more interesting subject matter, make it more fast paced, and work with the performers on their acting skills.
