Yep i use exit splash on some of my sites and it work's wonders, especially if your paying for traffic too!

On their sales page you can click the cross and test it out first too and also they have lots of options for audio and images that shows/plays.

Oh and you can order directly from the page after you click the cross to exit, as the front page doesn't have an order button which i find very stupid!

I would be careful with what you do with them, if people are leaving a site then they are going to leave...if you harass them they will make a mental note to never come back if they were simply closing a window to make room

      Sparhawke,
When used 'properly' those annoying little pop-ups have been proven to increase conversions.

How do you use them properly?

My experience tells me the best way to use them is to offer a discount on the product they were viewing but decided not to buy.

harass - definition of harass by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

In the right way they can be good, but ones that do not do what you were expecting when clicking on a button and sending you on a merry-go-round can be far more harmful...

Jay knows what I mean, having a gentle query is one thing, when you cannot get away from the site is quite another.

Two of the most commonly used "virtual agents" used by the Clickbank big boys are Intellichat and David Guindon's Virtual Smart Agent. Hope that helps!

NOTE: These services will increase sales, but read the fine print carefully. Some such services will over-ride affiliate cookies and your affiliates will not get commissions if an exiting customer orders through them. Arguments for and against this can be made and both can make a strong case--just so you know. --Mike
