You could monetize with amazon or any other retailer that sells miniature RC tanks. here's one i found
Amazon.com: Smoking 1:16 RC Tank German Tiger I...Amazon.com: Smoking 1:16 RC Tank German Tiger I...
Not all niches have to be monetized with an ebook. Product sales have higher conversions and would be a more long term solution IMO.

I can't believe I didn't think of that. That's definitely one thing I'm going to try, thanks

Hobbytron has used Commision Junction for their affiliate program. Commission Junction - A Global Leader in Affiliate Marketing, Online Advertising and Search Engine Marketing

Affiliate They have a nice line of RC tanks.

    RC Tanks

I'm not fond of Commission Junction, but Hobbytron also uses Golden Can, which has some really nice features and products.

HobbyTron.com Affiliate Data Feed GoldenCAN Store Integration & HobbyTron.com Affiliate Datafeed GoldenCAN Coupon Integration

Golden Can has their own program.

Goldencan is a fourth click merchant if I'm not mistaken. Meaning every fourth click goes through them so you are in effect sharing a percentage of your commission with them.

Thanks for pointing that out Davioli. I think every 300th click goes through Commission Junction - just being facetious, but it certainly seems that way. It's hard to earn commissions with CJ for some reason. I've had better success with just about every other program, but not too much action with CJ - maybe it's just the products I select.

I like Golden Can's data feeds. Like this one:

HobbyTron.com Data Feed Integration - HobbyTron.com Store Integration Sample

An easy way to add pages to your site. http://shareasale.com/ also has this option for a lot of their merchants. I did very well with a cosmetics feed from Share a Sale before I sold the site, but I don't know if they have any RC Tanks vendors.

Here's the scoop on Golden Can's 4th click policy:

Unlike many other data feed integration programs, GoldenCAN program does not require any start up or monthly maintenance fee. There are two kinds of merchants available at GoldenCAN '4th Clickâ„¢' and 'FREE of 4th Click'.

If a merchant is "FREE", 100% of your traffic for that merchant will be credited towards your account and you can use GoldenCAN for that merchant completely "FREE" of charge.

If a merchant is available at GoldenCAN with a '4th Clickâ„¢' pricing model, for every '4th Clickâ„¢' generated from a store towards the merchant's web site, we will replace your affiliate site id with ours and subsequently receive the affiliate commission.

Well.. I can't really comment on sales from CJ yet.. I've started product affiliate stores just over 2 months ago and the sales are OK. Nothing to call home about yet.
I've been using CJ together with Popshops and my stores look really good and are search engine friendly(or so I like to think..)
I'm more of an adsense person.. but I want to move into physical products over 2010.
