I know that eza allows url forwarding for an affiliate link in your signature. Do they allow if I cloak my main url with bit.ly

it has to be a registered domain name I guess to keep down on spamming of affiliate links and what not.

They basically want your link to go to a page that will have some content that will be useful to the reader. If your site has good content then you won't have a problem. If it's a cloaked affiliate link I think they'll bounce your article. A landing page or a sales page probably isn't going to cut it.

My links on EZA used to go to my review pages on my site. After a while they started denying my articles so what I did was set up a WP blog with lots of good original and relevant content. They're cool with that and I think that readers like it more too. I know it would tick me off if I read an article and clicked on a link thinking that I was going to actually get more information on a topic and I got sent to a cloaked landing page.

As a side note, I check my "recent visitors" in cpanel every once in a while and saw that EZA does a daily scan of my links. I'm not sure if they're looking to make sure that that the links are not broken or looking for redirects but they're there every day.

Thanks guys for all your advise. They have already approved 2 of my articles but I did not use bit.ly. I used a .info.

I just pray they accept all the rest

I use cloaked links on almost all my EZA links -- and I can't imagine EVER using a bit.ly or anything else. What happens if they go out of the link-redirection business? All of the links in your articles are DOA!

Use a cloaked link so you can track the traffic coming from your articles -- just make sure the redirect script is on YOUR site so you have ultimate control.

I recommend Sonic Sneak - Link Cloaking and Tracking (which is my product).

If you go out of business then you don't care where the dead links go to, so no big deal.

Although if you have a lot of articles out there that are passively driving traffic to a site, you could probably find someone to take it off your hands for some nice change.

I think he was referring to you (Jay) going out of business if he used your cloaking service, in which case of course the result would be the same, DOA links.

So that blind people can hate them as well.

Oh, I didn't get it because Sonic Sneak - Link Cloaking and Tracking runs on YOUR server, not mine.

And Adsense Eliminator, which is my hosted version, comes with a script that runs on your server so that even in THAT case all links lead to your site first before anything else happens.
