EZA - how many links allowed

Hi,

I thought I knew how many links were allowed in the article+resource but recently had a link in the resource removed. I had a link in the body of the article to a website relating to the article and 2 links to a different website in the resource.

I thought you were allowed 3 links in total but I must be wrong - does anyone know the correct answer to this.

I have read the t's and c's but am still none the wiser lol. It says a total of 4 links however, goes on to say about them not being self-serving (what else would they be?).

So how many links are we allowed in the article body and the resource?

Any help is well appreciated

thanks

Yves.

    Yves,

You're not allowed to have a link too close to the beginning. I don't know exactly how they calculate that, but I have a few times had articles not approved for that reason. I simply reorganized the article and resubmitted it and it was fine.

A self-serving link benifits you, not the reader. So the links in the article can only go to a page that offers the reader more info on the topic at hand, not to your site or any site that is going to make you money.

Thanks Elle, I thought that was perhaps the case but what if it was both helping the reader and your own site

Any more offers on how many self-serving links you are allowed in an ezine article including resource box?

Just need to read ezine's TOS.

WEBSITE LINKS/URLS There is a total limit of (4) active or inactive links allowed in the article, which consists of both the BODY and the RESOURCE BOX.
    1. Maximum of (2) "Self-Serving" active or inactive links/URLs to a website that you own, control, or have an interest in.
    2. Maximum of (2) active or inactive non-self serving links/URLs to a website that you do not own, control, or have an interest in which adds value to the article.
    3. Confine your self-serving links to your RESOURCE BOX.
    4. We do not accept articles with active or inactive links in the first 1-3 paragraphs. Please put your active links in the resource box below the article body. The article BODY is your "GIVE" and the RESOURCE BOX is your "TAKE."
    5. We do not accept links that use HTML to add style attributes to the link, URL, or text link description.
    6. We do not accept links formatted with Smart Quotes by using MS WORD.
    7. We will auto format valid URLs included in your RESOURCE BOX.

    Cheers!

      Thanks

For some reason I was always of the belief that 3 self-serving links were allowed, even tho I was only using two .

Oh well, that sorts that out.

      Cheers

I have always been stopping at 2 self serving links. EZA is getting more stringent on their articles right now.
