Advice Please-At Home Cancer Caregiver/Unemployed/Need to Take Action

INTERNET MARKETING

I'm getting a bad case of overload, could I get some advice from the forum please... I'm in a situation where I'm taking care of a family member (24/7) who is home on Hospice care. I've was downsized a few months ago from a commercial real estate industry position, I'm over 50 and need to take action NOW...

I can't leave the house much with my Hospice care giving responsibilities, so going back to work (outside the house) right now is not an option. This current situation won't work for a homeowner with a young one at home and an obligation to help a sick family member... Money is quickly becoming an issue to start any IM method but I feel IM would be perfect for me...

Warriors please provide some honest feedback (please no employees of these systems) on the probability for quick and sustainable income on a given system. I'm considering the programs listed below or will take suggestions on any others that would best leverage my efforts...
The 30 Day Challenge, Niche Profit Classroom, Niche Blueprint 2.0, The Wealthy Affiliate, Affiloblueprint.

One of my concerns is not being able to take the web sites I develop to another host or being locked into a given system...

I'm hoping to implement a given system and then provide other folks that are in my similar situation with the positive results I recieved... Currently there are very few options for financial assistance to family caregivers... I would love to be able to help this market with real positive results coming from a person in who is familiar with that situation...

I used the 30dc back in 2008, this is specifically designed at newbies just coming in and is a great help to anyone starting out. The best thing about it is it is free

, I wouldn't recommend the 30dc plus don't bother with that until you know more.

Hi Nick,

I don't know much about the other systems but I think I can give some comments on Wealthy Affiliate.

I'm an ex-WA member so I can give some insight as to whether this program is a good fit for you. WA is aptly called Wealthy Affiliate "University" because as a learning environment, it is very good. There is a ton of information in there about mainly article marketing and PPC.

However, someone in your situation needs a focused way to take action NOW to generate immediate income. I think WA can't do that for you because it's just not focused enough. When I was a member, I suffered information overload and got the dreaded A.P. (analysis paralysis- think too much, but no action).

Hi Nick,

First of all I must say I sympathize with your position - when my Mom was sick with cancer I only had to give partial care and I know how draining it was on my financially (and emotionaly). I don't think I could have been the primary care giver - you must be a special person.

I took the 30 day challenge a while back and I totally recommend it - mostly because it is free but also because it will give you a step by step plan.

But the key is you have to follow through with the steps and don't second guess yourself or run off to follow some other plan when you don't make money overnight. You must have the faith that it will work.

Plus, with the 30 day challenge you can have your own website and you won't be locked into anything because (unless it has changed drastically) all the methods are ones that you can use independent of 30dc.

It was a serendipitous situation that I was downsized just as she came home and needed around the clock care.. I'm feeling it was meant to be, so I'm hoping I could finally get an IM endeavor off the ground.. I've been considering IM for a number of years but never really dug into the options ....Wow you could get buried with indecision..

I'm ready to take action, just don't want to waste time or money

Rather than looking at internet marketing as a whole I'd recommend leveraging your existing knowledge of commercial real estate or another area of expertise. Of the programs you've listed I recommend the 30 Day Challenge to learn general internet marketing skills. It's free and while there are recommended products the process can be accomplished with free tools.

Books I recommend to people looking for direction are "Crush It" by Gary Vaynerchuk and "Put More Cash in Your Pocket" by Loral Langemeier. The second book is not internet specific but has some useful self-evaluation exercises.
