Am I on the right path?

I am somewhat new to internet marketing, however since I started I have seen very little success. Right now I have almost no money to start up with.

Here is what I am doing right now. I made a website and product on my own. All I paid for was domain and hosting. I am currently using free traffic methods such as article marketing and social bookmarking to drive traffic to my sales page.

I am also actively seeking affiliates to promote it. Am I doing the right thing for someone who has bery little start up money?

Any advice and criticism is appreciated. Be brutally honest!

Thanks

You have started down the right path. Stick with it! The average internet marketer lasts only 120 days!

The only other thing I would say is to start building your list right away!!!

      Kenny,

I think you should think about changing your headline. I don't know about anyone else, but I really don't want to pay $35 to learn how to go broke on the internet.

It can take time before you start seeing results. Just set a plan, be consistent, track and analyze, and you'll get there.

I think you've got the right idea. However, I don't see how you can invite affiliates without first making some sales and insuring you are able to answer their questions when they have them. IMO, you should have some fairly significant success with your product before you ask others to sell it for you. If you can't sell it yourself, don't expect others to be able to do it.

Kenny, it sounds like you've pretty much got all the bases covered for what a person can do without a budget. The only major element missing is a way to build a list. Aweber offers a $1 one-month trial. If your social sites aren't integrated with each other, I recommend you find a free report about the "linkwheel" strategy and put it to use.

You could also become an affiliate who sells other people's material. That might be a faster technique towards immediate cash.

Rather than buying lots of different courses, I think you'll get a bigger-picture education when you can afford $37 for the one-time War Room signup here. That gives you access to many different reports, with new ones added all the time.

Don't forget that you could also run a classified ad here and get a whole lot of people to see what you have to offer. Since you have some time on your hands, maybe you could offer some outsourced services to other Warriors as a way to build up your immediate cash flow.

You're doing the right things with very little budget, however you may not be doing them the right way. For example, article marketing, are you just writing articles or are you finding relevent keywords and optimising the for search engines. Social bookmarking is good but it's better if you optimse your website and your social bookmarking links.

A few more tips. Try forum posting, type 'do follow diver' into google and click on the number 1 result. Use this search tool to find do follow forum posts for your particular keyword.

Finally, don't spread yourself too thin, only use 2 or 3 methods of promotion and become really good at them because used properly just about everything you use will work.

Having your own site is a good start of internet business. However, you should spent most of your time promoting your new site. For now things might look vague, but you need to start testing and experimenting to know which path is the best to follow.

    Below are my few tips.

    Optimize your site
Setup a blog and make post to it everyday.
Write and submit article to article directories.
Participate in two to four forums.
    Comment of blog
    Submit your site to directories

Within a short period of time you will start to see good result.

And bear in mind, you are at a learning process.
