classes to take for IM?

Hello warriors! Hope everyone is well...long story short, I will be starting class again next semester, and was wondering which classes/degree(s) would be most benificial to IM overall. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. TIA and have a nice evening!

    Most towns and cities will have at least a couple of business courses running through the year. These are really worth doing because while they are not soley focused on marketing, it does cover a huge section of the course.

    Anything you do in IM needs to be run like a business anyway (which it is), so having a good understanding of the business basics is a great start.

      Universities in South Africa offer a degree / diploma in marketing management, which is what I would recommend as it covers everything from sales techniques, marketing and advertising, to business law, accounting and business management.

      Universities in your area would probably offer something along those lines. That would be my recommendation.

    I'd go with business education in your place. There aren't specific Universities (that I know of) that would teach specifically internet marketing.

    Any course where you'll learn about website creation, principles of business and marketing.

    I think those would do you good.

      Two things to focus on...

      > A basic grounding in business principles, including statistics and basic accounting or bookkeeping. This will aid you in running a business like a business.

      > As much practical psychology as you can wrap your mind around. Whatever you eventually do, you will be dealing with people. The more you understand about how people tick, what makes them do the the things they do, the more effective you will be in selling them things they want.

      Given a choice between the two, go for the psychology.

    There are a few Universities that actually has Internet Marketing Degrees

    Specifically for IM, I would recommand:
    University of San Francisco has a Master Program (online).
    Full Sail University has a pretty good IM program as well (online).

    But I would suggest degrees such as Marketing/advertising
    I suggest not to apply for online programs. Call me old fashion, n i dont care. Unless you cant physically attend. Its best to attend classes. Many people think online program has more flexibility, but the truth is that, having that face to face interaction with either profs or with students will be more beneficial. Learning a new set of communication skills is something you will never learn via online programs, which I believe is one of the most important element for an IM business.

    Being able to communicate with clients, customers in a skillful manner will lead to better success.

      In September I will be starting a marketing degree (Hopefully). This degree will focus at offline marketing tho but I am still going because it teaches the psychology of marketing which is good and will show me marketing strategies for the offline word and I can then use them strategies and combine with online strats
