Can I order bigger inbox here on WF ?

Hi,

I don't understand why PM inbox is so small here on WF.
Space on hard disk is so cheap today.

Can I pay extra to get bigger inbox ?

      I never know PM's inbox got a limit.

      What's the limit (number of messages) actually?

      I thought there is no limit if we join and become a War Room member.

        There is a limit of 400 messages per account, and that's the combination of both your received and sent items. It's very clearly illustrated on the top of the Private Message page, I'm very surprised you haven't noticed it.

        Perhaps, but if you allow 400 messages for all of the 171,459 Warrior Forum members (as of this writing, and growing every minute) thats almost 70 million messages for the system to maintain.

        Even that isn't a great deal admittedly, but I suspect space isn't only the issue. The PM feature is not supposed to replace your e-mail system, it's for short messages between members.

        You can export your messages to a CSV or Excel file. I actually put together a small program with Visual BASIC to manage my exports, was thinking of offering it as a freebie on the War Room once I pretty it up a bit. If anyone thinks that would be useful, or has any features they would like to see on it please let me know.

    Did you also delete your messages from your "sent" box? If you delete those you will free up more space.

    Hello Nikola,

    I do not think the PM storage is too small. As a War Room member you can store up to 400 messages and only a handful of members are actually using this space. I would suggest you delete a few more of your messages in your sent items box. PMs are stored in a database and as this is a discussion forum and not an eMail service it would decrease the whole forum performance if we would allow to store more PMs.

      You can export and save a list of all PMs. Then just delete and start over.

      Personally I wont get close to using it all but hey it could be an extra feature, like 5-10 bucks for an extra 100 slots maybe, could bring in a little cash .

    Not that I know about. You may need to look for alternatives such as archiving.

    Yes, I'm member of War Room from first week when it was open.
    I just think it's so cheap today to buy disk space = it doesn't cost much to have 1000 PMs inbox like similar webmaster forums have.

    Anyway I will continue exporting CSV files.
