Hi,

I'm thinking of selling PLR articles that myself and my team have written and will write.........so they will be original, and thereby "fresh PLR".

I want to sell them for $1 per article with a limited number of sales/downloads.

My question is this:

If I want to get $1 per article in a pack of say 25, so $25 in full, what does everyone think the most amount of allowed sales/downloads I should offer?

Once that amount of packs is sold, the articles will be taken off the market, so how restricted should the "packets available" be to command $1 per article?

NOTE: This of course assumes that the quality is good, which it will be and the niches are relatively in demand, not something like "How to shave sheep".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Frank

Well, it really depends on how much money you need to make because the lower the number of sales you allow the better. Or so they say.

So, if you want to make $25 per article then limit it to 25. Wanna make $50 then limit it to 50.

Don't forget to figure out what it costs to sell them (hosting, WSO fees etc....) when you do the math.

I'm not sure if you are going to sell more of them just because you limit it to 25 instead of 50. Ultimately, you should test to see what the "magic number" is.

    Hope that helps,

    Any body have any opinions?

Whats too much availability? When does the PLR become too watered down?

    25 sales, 50 sales, 100 sales?

    Anybody?

Well the hole point of PLR articles, is to buy the content then modify it. So why are you thinking about limiting the number of PLR articles you sell. If the customer is just going to modify it, when they get it. Then there is no point in limiting the number you sell. Because then each article should be different, by there modifications. Furthermore, after you sell that many articles, what are you going to do, take it down and never sell them again.

This is what I would do, I would outsource the article writing on as many topic and subjects. Then I would submit the articles to Associated Content for up-front payment, so I re-coup my invested money. In addition, to submitting them to Associated Content, I will keep the rights to all the articles, then I would use the original articles for my article marketing needs, i.e. driving traffic, building a list, building squidoo lens and etc... Too promote my products or affiliate products.

Then after I'm done with the articles, I will list them in my PLR mini-mart. And build the mini-mart with my outsourced articles. This way, as I expand to move to more niches, the mini-mart grows and I'm getting the maximum use out of the articles. In addition, too the monthly cash flow from the selling of the PLR mini-mart brings.

So, too put it short. Outsource the articles, then use them to promote or drive traffic to your stuff. Then use them as PLR Articles and sell the articles for a new income stream.

I have been thinking of getting into PLR myself in the parenting/kids/family areas and was wondering these very questions. Thanks so much for the input!

Hey Mark that is definitely a good model to follow. But my business plan for this project is selling fresh plr. Your method is something I should be doing more of anyway though.

    Thanks

As a general rule, the more expensive your articles are, the lower the licenses being sold. This creates higher perceived value in customers. And to answer your questions, there is no clear cut. You have to play around with the figures and look around what other PLR providers are doing. As for me, I limit my PLR packs to 100 licenses.
