What would happen if I used my IM knowledge unselfishly?
I have since changed my ways and repented of all my spams
So now the point of the thread, what would happen if I used my IM knowledge unselfishly?
I know how to get more high pr ranking backlinks than I know what to do with, but I'm completely anti-spam and most of my methods appear on the surface spammy.
What I mean by spammy is 'cluttering the web with duplicate or irrelevant content for the sake of traffic'. But what if I used those techniques to introduce a 'new' offline business to the web without starting a trendy 'Internet Marketing Company'?
Case in point:
I just had a meeting with my off-line boss who is a roofing contractor. He asked me yesterday if I knew how to file for un-employment and I said no and I dont wanna learn. I'm against un-employment because I've gained way too much knowledge from this forum to be dependent on a broken system
To quickly shift the convo I told him I checked out the company website and recommended that it needs over hauling.
Up to that point my boss had no clue I had web skills, I found the job on CL 3 months ago and hes just yelled at me since
So that was yesterday morning, since then I have developed a full scale local online marketing plan.
The plan is designed to:
-bring his html 1999 site up to 2.0 status
- get his site listed on the front page of google
-incorporate an email building survey for past current and future customers
-teach him how to use his new facebook thingy
-become his trusted and faithful marketing adviser opposed to shingle throwing grunt :p
I guess the thread I just read and assumed inspired a new idea just re-affirmed what I'm already doing but brought back memory's of how I helped trash the web
I've done some pretty random profitable things online that served only my own selfish interests. I excluded everybody else and in doing so I became a hermit for like 3 months at one point which was very lonely.
So, what do you think about that thought, "What would happen if I used my IM knowledge unselfishly?"
