Any Clickbank Product Gurus In The House?

Hi!

I've run into a bit of a stumbling block and need to get this resolved before a product launch on the 21st so I'm in quite a bind here, so I really would appreciate some input here.

Ok So I have two products both on clickbank.

I am launching product 1 and am trying to offer product 2 as an upsell.

After the checkout of product 1, they are taken to a thank you page which gives them their download link and a quick thank you message, as well as the upsell offer.

(I wanted to offer it before the checkout of product 1 but clickbank limited my account to $130 which is under the price point + I wanted to offer product 2 at a different commission rate).

OK so, the problem is, if they accept my upsell, I send them right to the checkout page.

The only problem is, in order for the affiliate to get commission on product 2, they need to first go to my top level domain for product 2 which would take them out of the upsell process I have in place.

What I wanted to do was: thankyoupage(product 1) to checkout page(product 2) without having to go to landing page(product 2) while still passing along the affiliate credit.

Does anyone have any clue as to how to do this?

Thank you for your input!

If product 1 and 2 are in the same ClickBank account there is no
problem. The affiliate cookie will be set on visiting product1
and used for the purchase of product2.

Mainly because I wanted to offer product number 2 at a different commission percentage than my main one(the 2nd product is my money maker) so you need a separate account to do that.

Then one way to do it would be to have a script
which constructs a hoplink for product 2 using the
      affiliate id.

Never mind...Harvey answered this. Yes, you need a second account
and you need to construct a script.

        Harvey,

        That part I understand.

The problem with that is you can only send them to your landing page, which is not what I wanted to do because it will make them leave the sales process.

What I wanted to do was send them directly to the order form without sending them to my landing page.

Is what I want to do not possible?

Yes that can be done too (with a script)

Okay, first of all, Clickbank has made changes to their "how you are
allowed to offer an upsell" process.

Here is how it has to go down. Yes, I know old products out there don't
do it this way and haven't been changed, but all new product submissions
have to be done this way...unless Clickbank has yet changed this again.

          1. Prospect gets to main sales page.

          2. Prospect clicks on buy now link.

          3. Prospect is immediately taken to upsell page before paying for first
product. Call this page upsell.html for the sake of this example.

          Prospect then has 2 choices.

          A. Bypasses upsell by clicking on No Thanks at bottom of upsell page
and is then taken to the actual payment page. That No Thanks link
is the actual Clickbank pay link.

          B. Decides to take the upsell in which case they click on the Upgrade
          link.

That Upgrade link can only go to one place and that one place can only
have one product IF you want to keep this process simple. That product
will be the combination of the two products under the same account
under a different item number, say item number 3.

With the old way of doing things, you could have them pay for product
one first, then take them to product 2's page and then have them pay
          for that product after.

You can't do that anymore, unless they've flip flopped and gone back to
the old system in case there had been a lot of complaints from merchants.

The reason they made this new rule is because the checkout process,
with 2 different payments, Clickbank felt was confusing for customers, so
they decided that they wouldn't approve any upsells with 2 separate
          payments.

You can try to sneak it through, and if you do, you can do what Harvey
said, have a script transfer the affiliate ID from the one account to the
          other.

But under Clickbank's current policy, I don't see any way of doing this.

Not when everything has to be in one payment.
