I think your blog can be made more aligned. You mentioned your blog is for freelance writing work. But it seemed to be more of providing tips for blogging.

I feel you should use your blog post to feature your work...and give some useful advice for customers who are on the look out for article writers.

Let's say you can provide consumer-targeted posts such as "7 tips to note before anyone hires an article writer."

Have an optin box at the top right corner (most visible spot) and offer 15 PLR articles for download for free....in a way, you get their emails in return.

Hope these tips are useful.

Thanks for the wonderful critique. I think you have a good point there. I should probably start writing more about freelance writing and less about blogging in general. Since I'm more of a blogger, I have not started to build a list yet. I know I should be doing this already but I'm still learning it. Why mess it up when you can learn before you do something? So I'm on the process of learning everything about optins.

I wrote about blogging tips because that is my area of expertise and that is my primary niche for freelance writing. I freelance write for other blogs related to blogging tips. One of them, if you don't mind, is BloggingTips.Com.

Ok, first of all, I suck at blogging. I'm NOT a blogger, even though I know I need to be.

About a week ago I made a quick little blog, not in the marketing niche or any of that sort.

Right now I'm still trying to get the hang of wordpress and add some cool content even though it's looking good right now. (at least to me )
