WARNING! This is only for newbies struggling to make their first $1

To all struggling Warriors,

Please note: this is only for someone who is just starting out...

I was flat broke, in debt and unemployed when I first registered on the Warrior Forum. I know how you feel, I felt the same way and it's vital to make your first $1 online quickly because for most of us that have become successful online, that was the driving force to realize we could simply repeat the process and expound upon the technique.

Here is a simple method to create the proper mind set that's so important for making money online. I'll assume you have at least $30. If you do not have at least $30 to start, I'd simply use the Internet to find a job or maybe use an eBay strategy. I came up with this for coaching because it is simple and will help educate someone without getting too complicated such as trying to learn html and other techie stuff from my point of view. The only drawback is that you have to live in the USA and be at least 18 years of age.

  1. Sign up to the Warrior Forum. You've already done this if you are reading this right now. So you already have a fast start.
  2. Get a PayPal account and make sure you have at least $30 in it.
  3. Go the Warrior Special Offer section and find a writer that's offering their writing service for articles at $5 per article or less. Have this writer write 5 articles on any health and beauty related topic like weight loss, diabetes, skin care, acne, body building, etc. making sure they are all on the same topic that you decide upon.
  4. Sign up for an AssociatedContent.com account while you're waiting for your articles to be written. When your articles are ready you will need to be sure to pick the non-exclusive article submission.
  5. Sign up for an EzineArticles.com account while you're waiting for your articles to be written using the same exact name used at Associate Content.
  6. Find a residual affiliate service at LifeTimeCommissions.com that relates to any one of the topics you decide upon for the 5 articles you ordered from the Warrior Special Offer section and sign up for free.
  7. Sign up for a free Squidoo account. You will set it up with the content from the 5 articles you're going to receive and you will include links to the residual affiliate program you decided upon. This will be your landing page within your article bio at EzineArticles.com
  8. As soon as you receive your 5 articles submit them to AssociatedContent.com
  9. Then you submit the 5 articles to EzineArticles.com making sure to use the same name you used to sign up with Associated Content to comply with both services rules.
  10. Rinse and repeat while moving into the idea of creating ones own products and services as soon as you make your $30 back.

Being new to the Internet you could quickly fill your PayPal account with nice little $3, $5 and $7 cash payments from AssociatedContent and at the same time make some residual cash from residual affiliate services once your articles are live at EzineArticles and Squidoo. Of course I'd go into a little more detail in regards to using 'long tail keywords' for the article topics, creating the proper article bio, re-writing the article content for your Squidoo lens and how to quickly find the right keywords using free tools. But the basic idea is to simply show you that you can make money online because most people just need to see a single payment to see that they can make money online to be inspired and get fired up.

This process could take up to 15 days because articles generally take about 48 to 72 hours to have written and Associated Content takes about 7 to 10 days to make PayPal payments. Also, EzineArticles usually takes about 10 to 14 days for the first article to get approved when one first signs up for an account.

I know this is not the absolute "shortest time possible to make money online" but my idea with coaching my students is to expose them to the Warrior Forum (vital to my own success) and how a single idea can be the key to your success, Article Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and EzineArticles.com as soon as possible for long term profits.

It only takes about 5 minutes to add an article to Associated Content once your account is set up and this gives a return on investment for the 5 articles purchased on the Warrior Forum while educating you as a new marketer with this process and the resources that can be expounded upon very quickly.

There are some rules with Associated Content that one should be aware of listed on their site to receive payment. Primarily you have to be a legal resident of the United States and must be 18 years old to get your PayPal payments. And there are rules at the Warrior Forum, Squidoo and EzineArticles that I'd like to point out as well so no time is wasted because of getting ones account shut down.

Another method I'd mention if you do not want to have articles written for you would be to speak them.
Get a microphone and a copy of Audacity for free and away you go. These days technology allows you to do just about anything you want. So if you are not very good at writing and or don't want to have articles written for you, then record your articles and have an automatic translator type it into a document for you. Then, you just have to edit it.

Another key element I'd like to point out is the fact that there are Warrior Forum members here giving you advice that is worth thousands upon thousands of dollars when put into action. Without the Warrior Forum and it's members I'd probably be doing the ol 9 to 5 today. So, I'd like so say a big THANK YOU to those members and you know who you are.

Cheers,
Dean Shainin

This works simply because it seriously increases the belief
that making money consistently is possible and achievable.

It has for me. I havn't tried the residual idea, and now I will
because I already know it'll work.

But when you make your first few bucks, it's the start with
many. Soon you'll go fro $5 days, to $10, $10 to $20 and
double it up every so many days or weeks.

It's all mindset, and I'm so glad you posted this thread...I
hope ALL newbies take this approach first before they do
    anything else.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to head over to the Warriors
for hire sectio now and implement that, it's brilliant and should
bring in the residual I don't have right now. .

If I could thank you twice I could. Heck, there was a "give
me a beer" option still, I'd be happy to throw you a few bucks.

I'm going to add something to the great blueprint Dean posted above.

There are sites online (you have to hunt for them) that pay directly for
content. Some pay $3 per article, some a little more.

Get into freelancing, if you can really write. Eventually, what will happen, IF
word gets around that you write some damn fine articles, is that you will
start to get requests for work.

This is exactly how I started out...as a freelancer. Once I understood the
process and what was involved in getting freelancing work, I started to
teach others. That's how my first product came about...because of
    freelancing.

The beauty of freelancing is that you don't have to sell anything but
yourself. Once you have a portfolio of work, go to Elance and other
freelancing sites and start looking for work. It's out there...tons of it.

There is no law that says you have to be an affiliate marketer or product
creator to make money online. Look at copywriters. They earn their living
by writing sales letters...not from selling stuff.

In other words, there is more than one way to skin a cat in this business.

And IMO, freelancing is one of the easiest ways to do it.

If you have nothing, just write the articles yourself. If you are paying just a buck or two for articles anyway, you can probably do that wuality yourself. And its nice not starting in the hole anyway. Once you make money then leverage that by outsourcing.

My 2 cents..probably not worth much anyway :p

Great post Dean. This is exactly what someone can do to start making money online quickly without having very many skills whatsoever.

It can also be continued and developed into a long-term, highly profitable and lucrative business.

If you are a newbie who is just starting out I strongly suggest you follow these words of wisdom!

@Steven: I agree that starting out by freelancing is an excellent way to generate fast cash and get your name out there, but at the same time it kind of puts you in the mindset of being an "employee" rather than an "entrepreneur" or "business owner" if you catch my drift... This can hold SOME people back IMO. Although it certainly did not hold you or myself back from being successful!

    Best,
    Shane

I agree 100% that freelancing isn't for everybody.

Selling stuff isn't for everybody either.

Good ideas. Also, if you don't have $30, you can do alot of the work yourself. Like Kenster said, write your own articles. This will only cost you your time. You will have to look up good keywords as well which can be a tough task. What I would do is once you find an affiliate product to promote, just look at what keywords other people are using to promote it.

A good rule which I am sure many people have heard, is that , if you type in a keyword to google and there are adwords on the right hand side then there is a good chance that there is money being made on that keyword.

To take it a step further, you can track your keywords and the ads that come up when you type the keywords into google. If you type in your keyword today and see some adwords ads and then type in your keyword next week and see the same adwords ads, then that is probably good keyword.

    Hey Dean,

    Great post!

It's already perfect as it is but just to add a small twist..

Instead of posting the articles you can also package
it as a PLR pack and sell limited copies for $7.

Imagine if you were able to do the entire process up to
the point of looking for affiliate products to recommend,
that is already a valuable PLR package. Add some well
researched niche keywords and it'll be hot!

Sell 50 copies at $7 each and you'll get $350. Even if
you spend $50 you'll still walk away with $300 profit.

You can also do this in just a week if you know where
    to go

However, just to reiterate, the process outlined by Dean
is already perfect as it is. If you get easily confused..
then forget this post and follow Dean's blueprint to the
    letter.

    All the best,

Defiantly a great place to start... That's what it's all about, following simple step by step guides like this that explain how to get started making money.

Something to note here as well is that there are lots of other places to accomplish similar things. For example you can find some great lifetime commission for things on clickbank, and there are numerous other article sites where you can submit your articles - ezinearticles is good but they have some big downsides... Namely that are pretty strict on their acceptance policies, the take at least a week to approve any new articles, new free accounts are limited in the amount of articles they can submit...etc. Just google "article directories" to get ideas of additional places to go.

      Excellent point, Mark!

Yes, there are many ways to break into IM with article writing. Freelancing as Dean
described, and following the route with affiliate marketing as you mentioned.

No matter what, though, writing articles is something almost anyone can do with a little
effort and persistence. I also would encourage those who feel they can't write, or are
intimidated at the thought of it, to not worry about it. Just don't let anything hold you
      back.

You can study articles written by the best at ezinearticles, for example. There are
tons of free info available on writing articles. Dean has info about it, just give him
a shout. He'll get you going in the right direction.

Another thing to remember is the more you write and learn, the better you will get
at it. That's really true. It definitely is not rocket science.

But the most important thing is to get started with it. Do something! If your budget
is not large, then article writing is a great way to get into the game.

Thank You Warriors for chiming in with your inspiring words and giving more ideas for anyone struggling to make their first $1 online...

        I REALLY appreciate it.

If anyone else has any methods that are simple and not too technical be sure to chime here in as well. One of my new students I've been coaching just made about $240 so far this week which sounds like peanuts to big time marketers but what's most important is she can now replicate and expand into other areas of marketing using the skills she has learned. Her first payment online was for $4.32 from submitting an article at AssociatedContent and from that point on she has been fired up and realized she could make money online.

One thing to be aware of are friends and family. Some of her friends say that she is wasting time. I'm pretty sure it was Brian Tracy or Anthony Robbins that mentioned this but it's wise to keep quite about what you're doing when making money with your business because friends and family think they are protecting you but in reality you can easily get bummed out...Unless they are in business with you...

Dean... is she making 240/week solely from selling to AC?

Hey, 240/week sustainable is just under a 1000 a month. That
would certainly take care of most mortgage payments, or several
          car payments - or whatever.

So that's really not bad at all.

            Hi Ken,

At this point she has moved beyond AssociatedContent and makes more money from her writing because she had learned how to use bum marketing and other keyword methods to get top organic Google search results. She is going full time and I'm so excited for her because she was at a point of frustration and has actually inspired me to get back into part time coaching...

The primary thing I always wanted students to see, when I was full time, was that they can make money online if they can write and that it's vital they see and experience the feeling of making money ASAP.

I know we have all said and been told a million times 'quality content is King' but being able to write quality content is the ticket to freedom from my point of view. Over time one can learn how to write sales copy, write short reports, ebooks and that can lead into other ventures we would have never even imagined or dreamed of when we first start out struggling to make our first buck online.

Thanks again for you kind words earlier. I really do appreciate you so much because you are the real deal Ken.

I am so glad that Dean put this up. I have not written for AC for
a long time and all but forgot about it, but it is a nice way to make
    some extra money.

A few years ago right before Valentine's Day I was pretty broke so
I sat down and figured out how much it would cost to take my girlfriend
at the time to dinner, get flowers and a small gift. I had planned on $100.

The articles I was submitting at the time were averaging around $4 a piece,
so I figured I needed to write somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 or so.
After a few days I had made enough to cover Valentine's day and then some,
as some of the articles actually were offered a little more.

What I found that AC likes is unique content. This worked for me and I am
sure that it should work for you as well, but don't hold me to it.

What I did was write reviews on my favorite restaurants in my area, short
reviews that filled their word count requirement, but like I mentioned earlier
it has to be unique. So don't go writing about the McDonalds or Taco Bell,
write on the Mom and Pop type restaurants.

For example, I wrote about a mexican food restaurant that I go to where I live.
It is not a chain and they make pretty good tacos. So my article title was
    something like this:

"XYZ Mexican Food - The best tacos west of Mexico"

The body of the article was pretty easy. I covered the average cost for dinner,
average wait time, customer service and what I had for dinner. This filled the
    word count pretty quickly.

I sat down and picked 10-15 restaurants in my area and wrote on them and AC
made offers on all of them. After that I moved on to tourist type spots where I
live and did reviews on them.

While I made the money I needed, perhaps the coolest story I got about AC was
from my barber. I had written a review about his service on AC and it actually
showed up on the first page of Google when you typed in the state name plus the
word "best barbershop." I wrote the article under a pen name so he did not know
    it was me.

Well, one day as he was cutting my hair he tells me how he had been getting a lot
of business lately. He said a new customer told him he had found him through a
review on Google. He starts telling me about this article and pretty much repeating
what I had wrote, almost word for word. He said after hearing about it, he had to
read it and print it up.

I smiled to myself. Making money is great, but helping others and sending them more
    business is pretty cool too.

at the time to dinner, get flowers and a small gift.

WOW! Great Info, I had no idea that AC would accept reviews about
a local business. I thought that they only wanted generic subject
matter articles. That is great, thanks for the great post!

Great post however I've heard that it's difficult to get more than $1 for an article nowadays. Long gone are the days where you would get $5 per article.

Does anyone know of any other places where you can submit articles and get paid for them? There might be some new sites that still don't mind paying $5 to $10 per article.

      Hello Katherine,

I read a post somewhere in which a UK writer discussed her experience
with Associated Content. It seems non-US writers at AC are subject to
different guidelines that make it somewhat less attractive.

But she also mentioned that Helium will pay non-US writers the same
rates as US writers. (As soon as I post this I'm gonna get outta the
way lest I get run over.)

      Ok...

Here's a v e r y interesting thing with lots of links to places that pay people
to write fillers for... things. lol.

Writers from the UK may be especially interested in this.

Writing Fillers for the UK (and US) Markets

Here's a site listing 15 UK (I think) magazines that pay
writers for articles. Perhaps they'll entertain non-UK writers, as well. I don't know.

Freelance Writing Employment :15 Magazines That Pay Freelance Writers

It took me about 10 seconds to find this stuff. Here's a hint for the less
      experienced.

You can find just about anything if you search for it the right way. I mean, use
      the right search terms.

If it took me 10 seconds to find this, and I only looked at page 1, then just
imagine what else is out there just waiting to be discovered.

There... article writers, freelance writers... anyone who wants to write and
get paid something reasonable. Go to it...

    Hi Dean,

I'd like to highlight that for the tip on AssociatedContent
in case anyone only saw the bullet points and did not
read what you stated about having to be a legal resident
    of the United States...

You must be at least 18 years old to be paid by Associated Content. If you are also citizen or legal resident of the United States, you are eligible for both Upfront and Performance Payments. If you are not a citizen of legal resident of the United States, you are only eligible for Performance Payments due to U.S. tax regulations.
And if anyone's wondering what Performance Payments
    are, here it is:

Performance Payments are payments based on the traffic to your content and allow you to earn unlimited cash from your text, video, slideshow and audio submissions long after they have been published. You earn money for every one thousand page views your content generates (PPMâ„¢ rate). The baseline PPMâ„¢ rate is currently $1.50 - meaning if you generate 30,000 page views, you're paid $45.00 in Performance Payments. As your library of content grows and your total page views accumulate, your Clout level increases. When you reach Clout 7 and beyond, your PPMâ„¢ rate will gradually increase up to a maximum of $2.00 per thousand page views.
I got these info from their FAQ page.

let me be more specific, per Asher Quote:
You must be at least 18 years old to be paid by Associated Content. If you are also citizen or legal resident of the United States, you are eligible for both Upfront and Performance Payments. If you are not a citizen of legal resident of the United States, you are only eligible for Performance Payments due to U.S. tax regulations."

If you own and operate a company in US, you can receive Upfront payments(as long as you can apply as such) because that covers the tax problem, naturally setting up a company in US does cost you money and you need to take care of the added responsibilities of running it,(although not that much work) but it is possible.

This is one of the best thread's I've been to yet! I'm learning more and more everyday from here, and I owe a big thanks to everyone. I am very new to this, I just got my account for Ezine upgraded to plus after one week of writing. I have 10 live articles and 4 pending. The only reason I couldn't go straight to platinum membership was because I used the wrong link at the bottom of my first 3 articles that I wrote on my first day! I wasn't happy to find that out lol. However, on the brighter side I've never had an article denied for any other reason. Now just waiting for them to turn into cash =)

Very encouraging to those getting started Dean. I'm sure your coaching program must be going well...

As the others have mentioned PLR is a great option as well. Also, consider building that list! Maybe once a bit of cash is built up or if writing their own, folks could do a mini-report kinda thing and then push their own ebook (original or PLR) keeping the profits themselves.

A handful of teaser articles in an autoresponder and then the full product promo typically works well as has been repeated throughout the WF.

Excellent thread and a great plan of attack.

For those outside the US (like me) definitely consider what Omar said about packaging and selling the content as PLR. In fact members of this very forum are looking for good articles right now!

Many an Internet millionaire has started out with a simple strategy and that first $1 in Paypal.

Tony Robbins was chatting a while ago with Mr Kern and Mr Reese about taking action and a few other things but one of the bits I remember most was Mr Reese talking about his first few dollars and how it was more exciting than anything since (and he has had some BIG sales days).

I found the first $1 online the hardest to make. In fact that first $1 (actually $33.14 US on August 13th 1998) took me well over 6 months of work.

But it was so exciting and addictive...in fact so exciting I remember the exact date (I didn't make that up) and I was so jazzed I stood up way too fast spilled my coffee all over the cat who yelled so loud I almost wet myself with fright.

Well that first sale turned into a life changing business.

Forgive the personal anecdote there...what I meant to say was I liked seeing this thread.

    Cheers,

    Jonno

    Great post Dean, thanks.

Couple of questions if you don't mind. Would you set up a different lense for each article, each with a link to the affiliate product at the bottom of the article?

Would this method still work if you're only eligible for PPM payments payments, not upfront, due to UK residency?

Should I also put links in the associated content article back to my affiliate product and/or squidoo lense?

    Many thanks,

      Thank You Chris,

If you have the time you can create a targeted lense for each article and keyword phrase and ad even more content. That's up to you...

I would not deal with AC if I could only qualify for the PPM payments. I'd find another place as mentioned from Ken earlier in this thread to sell your content. It would not be worth it from my point of view and experience with the PPM.

You can add links in your author bio (squidoo link would probably be best) but I think you still cannot add a link at the end of your article with AC. You create a bio and all your info and affiliation links in that area with AC. You can go there and see how other have done this for ideas...

I heard this way will make money from Associated Content if you are a newbie so I tried a couple of months ago. I have 10 articles written by a writer and then I submitted 4 of them (one by one) to AC. And then I got $2.42 for my first article from AC, second article was $2.40, third was $2.62 and the fourth one $2.82. I paid for my writer at $3 per article. See.... How much did I make from AC? So now I still have the rest of my articles ( 6 of them) sitting on my computer.

Does anyone know of any other sites where I can get paid for submitting articles ( get paid more than AC)?

    Thanks!

Did you ever try to make money beyond just getting paid for your articles directly by AC as described below?

      Sign up for an
EzineArticles.com account while you're waiting for your articles to be written using the same exact name used at Associate Content.

Find a residual affiliate service at
LifeTimeCommissions.com that relates to any one of the topics you decide upon for the 5 articles you ordered from the Warrior Special Offer section and sign up for free.

      Sign up for a free
Squidoo account. You will set it up with the content from the 5 articles you're going to receive and you will include links to the residual affiliate program you decided upon. This will be your landing page within your article bio at EzineArticles.com

I know Dean addressed this already, but I wanted to point something out. Let's take a look at this.

If you're losing an average of $.50 on each article, then you'll lose around $5 total on all ten. However (that's a big however), you have to follow the rest of Dean's plan.

Submit those same articles to EzineArticles, set up a Squidoo page with affiliate links from related residual opportunities, and guess what? One sale, and you've turned a profit on the entire thing!

The real beauty of it is this...the commissions from those affiliate links aren't a one-time thing; they'll keep coming for a while.

Look at it like this...if you had someone tell you that you would have to invest $30 to get started, but you would get 90% of that initial investment back within two weeks before you even started seeing sales from your traffic, what would you say?

That's the situation you're in when each article's net cost is $.50 after AC payment.

Thank You everyone for chiming in and adding so much clarity for Warriors who are just starting out to make their first $1 online. I've been getting PM's about the article writing aspects so I'm going to post some tips here that are more specific to writing your articles for anyone just getting started.

Lets' start with the title because without a title you have nothing...

Spend 50% of your efforts on the "TITLE" of your article! This is extremely important. If your title isn't full of benefits for its readers, chances are the article won't even get read... so spend a lot of time on it! I have over 200 articles from when I first started writing that need to be edited because they have boring titles. I had no idea of what I was doing a few years ago. I was so focused on only the keyword aspects of the article titles. This is not wise to do. You need to find a way to make each and every article title "Grab You By The Arm" as if saying, "Hey Look At Me Now and Read Me Now!"

The above point is EXTREMELY important! The title of your article will decide its success or failure -- plain and simple! Think about it... When your article gets into the organic search results you need to be sure it will stand out and capture the searchers attention so that they will click your organic search result and start reading your article.

Here are two of my favorite ways to insure you create a killer title for your article using your researched keywords. Another great tip is that you can use the same keyword 2 times in some cases and really grab the search engines attention but you have to be clever. Right now we are focused on our readers. These are just examples and no specific keywords are used here.

Ask a question in the title using your keywords can be very powerful. For example:

How To Get Rid of Acne? 3 Sure-Fire Ways On How To Get Rid of Acne!

How To Stop Smoking In 3 Days? Try These "Secret" Home Remedies And Never Be Ashamed Again!

Is Your Spouse Having An Affair? Discover These 3 "Dead Giveaways" And You'll Immediately Know For Sure...

Offer "How To" advice using your keywords can be very powerful too. For example:

How To Get Your Girlfriend Back In 5 Simple Steps - Do This And You'll Quickly Mend Your Broken Heart!

How To Make Money With Articles Within 48 Hours - You Cannot Afford To Miss Out On These Strategies!

Be very specific within your titles and state the facts. PLEASE NOTE: Using this method it can be REALLY tough to keep your keywords in the beginning of your title. For example:

3 Secret Ways To Build 10 Residual Traffic Streams To Your Sites Within 24 Hours!

Great information from a great guy.

Great advice for anyone just starting out. More importantly, you got it for $0.

IM is about momentum. Sure there'll be times when you may need to back out of a situation because you discover that it doesn't 'fit' with your skills, abilities or desires e.g. you might not like Affiliate Marketing after awhile and decide to focus on product creation BUT, at least you'll be moving and gaining valuable experience in the process.

You can get to the top of your mountain, but you've got to get moving first!

    Hi all,

I too agree with Dean that once you make some money on the internet that is the "juice" one needs to keep going.

I remember back in 2007 after hearing about a seminar a friend of mine went to and paying 47.50 for a scummy site which supposedly taught about clickbank and adwords ( hadn't heard of them before). I started up an adwords campaign not knowing anything about keywords for a clickbank product offering "court records". After a few weeks with some obvious dismal results and 40 dollars in the hole...I canceled the lot and gave up.

Sometime in December of that year I get a cheque from Clickbank for 100 odd bucks. You should have seen me...my mouth was on the floor. I couldn't believe it but that moment was the catalyst that drove me and keeps driving me still...because I know it's possible to make money and decent money. I'll be honest and say that I haven't achieved the decent part yet but I know it will happen...It will happen for us. We can be the ones to succeed with honesty, integrity and help others.

I remember just a few months ago this person from Mexico contacted me about my business and wanted advice on how to begin. I told him and pointed out that through emails that if he decides to purchase I would earn a commission. He bought the service and I promptly earned 90 dollars from CB. A few weeks later he says that he really wants to start internet marketing...has no money...needs it for rent. So I gave him the commission I made. He said he'd pay me back...I haven't heard from him thus far I could have been conned, but just maybe, even a tiny bit this man when he's ready will return. Maybe... I don't know how to run a business... But I'd do it again if I could.

I truly didn't write to brag or receive any kudos. I'm sure there are others here who have done far more to help others... I don't know why I did...the thread caught my eye and I enjoyed reading the posts. I was on my way to the PIPS forum to drop a link back to my blog where I just posted a Youtube vid of Will Smith and an article talking about following your dreams. So feel free to drop in and watch. Promise no selling anything...I'm sure you guys would have spotted that from a mile away anyway...Thanks.

    Thanks Dean!

It's good to be reminded that there are simple, effective ways to start making money. I've been swept away, jumping on to the next shiny new thing, only to come back to earth and back to the basics. The internet is about information. If you can package it in a clear, helpful way, people will pay for it.

Here is the easiest way to get over the $1 barrier.

    1) Go to fiverr.com;
    2) Offer a service that goes something like "I will wear a tattoo with your brand name on my forehead for a week".
    3) Get orders.
    4) Enjoy your $4 or possibly more. Now sky is the limit

Well, my example might be a bit drastic, but you see how with sites like Fiverr.com making the first $4, $10 even $100 is not a problem anymore. The real problem is to sustain a constant income.

Did your articles get approved yet?

It's wise to be sure your site is monetized before building backlinks or submitting articles for that matter.

You can do a simple search here on the WF 'building backlinks' and get tons of resources, tools, etc.

Several sites have changed their platform primarily and most likely a reaction because of the Panda updates.

You can read all about what has happened at WebProNews in the link below for more info...

Yahoo Gets Rid of 75,000 Associated Content Articles, Launches Yahoo Voices | WebProNews

          Overall I think it's a good thing and it's now Yahoo! Voices - voices.yahoo.com

One would have to adapt to the new platforms and new guidelines for content submission and adjust their business model.
