Tax Questions W/Clickbank/Making Money Online

So tax season is coming up and I've got to do my taxes for the first time (rather than someone handling them for me). So I know I owe the government however much money because it's not like Click takes anything out. So yeah, I was wondering what all to know about this process, if there was an official thread or resource for doing your own freelance taxes, especially if it's focused on clickbank earnings, etc.

So yeah, I just don't know how to go about it so any input would be great, thanks!

Well as far as I know you just mention it on your taxes in the other income section... there is another thread on the forum you might find useful here:

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Clickbank does issue a 1099 form (US). I'll have to revisit Clickbank to verify.

I try to avoid places that do that. My present employer does that, even though I work at home online part-time. After all, I don't consider myself anyone's employee, although employees do get W.2's. Plus, I file a Schedule C and related forms every year.

Eh that link was dead for me.

I suppose I should wait til Clickbank sends me my 1099. I've been hearing a lot of different thigns so I wasn't sure how to go about it. My pretty much only two sources of income are internet marketing and this part time job I have, so I was wondering how to put it all together.

Call your country's tax office and ask them how to declare your earnings. You have to work to the timetable of the tax office, not clickbank, so I wouldn't just wait for clickbank.

Here in the UK we have a self assessment form where you just fill in your earnings.

Easiest way to do this is to hire an accountant to do the return for you.
