Chair recommendations?

What do you all use for chairs?

I much prefer to be leaning back when sitting for hours, and I have a laptop in my lap. I already know this isn't great for my neck as I'm looking 'down' too much. My neck and upper shoulders hurt after several hours of this.

I've seen all the 'here's how to sit properly when using a computer' signs and sites, and I just can not do it. I feel like if I was a transcriptionist or some other office worker doing *one* thing, it might be acceptable, but I do too many different things (development, phone calls, etc) and I move around while I do them (via swivelling).

I'm thinking that rather than getting a chair, I might get video goggles to wrap around my head so regardless of where I'm looking, I see the screen. This would allow me to lean back and keep my head wherever it 'should' be, without having to look 'down' from that angle.

I can't 'try out' chairs in stores - it's like 'trying out' a bed mattress. Just doesn't do anything for me. My problems don't start until a few hours of usage leaning back swiveling around using my laptop doing work. It would take several days of trying out various chairs in those 'real world' conditions to see if anything was good (and the store reps would probably kick me out after the first several hours!)

Any practical suggestions/advice?
