How do I turn views into cash?

Hello, I have been writing for ezine now since Jan 9th, and I have 10 live articles with 4 pending. My account was just upgraded yesterday to basic plus. The only reason it didn't go straight to platinum was because on my first day, I wrote 3 articles and set up to the wrong link! I wasn't happy . I have never had an article denied for any other reason sense.

Currently I have 360 total views, with a 48 click rate. One article alone has 134 views. How do I generate that into some cash? I would appreciate any help, or tips I can get. Thanks so much

-Cindy

Hi Cindy

The easiest way I have found to convert your article click throughs into cash is CPA offers but it does depend on your niche.

Hi John, well, I guess I should start by asking what are CPA offers? I'm very very new to this and trying to learn everything I can everyday. Also, my niche is romance. I love to write about love letters, as I have a deep passion for it.

Thanks
Cindy

Oh dear, that's a very annoying mistake when you include the wrong or not working link. I've been there myself so I can feel your pain!

Best way to monetize from articles is to really research your keywords (longtail with minimal competition) to get good SE position and make sure you have a popular product/excellent landing page on the other side. As John said above try CPA or other methods to see what works for you.

From what you said though, it sounds like you are doing just fine as it is! If you only started Jan 9th and have done that well, just keep going to build the traffic up and the money will follow...

Thank you, I am creating backlinks now, as I'm just starting to get around to learning all of these new things. I thought the product that I'm advertising was really good, however I might be wrong. I know I'm just in the beginning, and I am patient. I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can be doing to get where we all want to be

Find an affiliate product that converts very well and in your signature, direct them to your affiliate page directly.

I however am not too keen on your niche (for religious reasons haha)

I am trying to learn how to add a link to my sig box, I had one in there last week, but it wasn't working. I'm currently working on putting together a squeeze page. So much of this is Greek to me, because I'm so new to doing anything like this. (just so you know I do not promote anything dirty, as I am a Christian.)

Thanks,
Cindy

The possibilities are endless. If you are just starting out and looking to make your first few bucks online, then I would just go to clickbank, find a product that has decent gravity 50-100.

Hopefully, it''s on a subject that you have some interest in.

Create a landing page talking about the product.

If you don't want to create a website with your own domain, you can do it for free with squidoo or blogger. Just link your articles to that page.

It's basically how I got started.

I never thought about trying it through blogging, as a landing page. I did go through clickbank. I'm actually doing two niche's at the time. I have one for paid surveys with a higher grav, and the other on writing love letters with a lower grav. It's the romance one that I have the passion for, but I wanted to start small with a couple of options open. I guess only time will tell if I'm doing it all right

Ditto on what Johnathan said. There are dozens of ways to monetize your articles. Here are a few ideas in a minute.

It looked like your question never got answered.CPA is cost per acquisition. Basically amounts to revenue share. You drive traffic to someone's product or service and if the traffic ends up resulting in a lead or a sale you get a commission.

CPA offers are handled through CPA networks (which can be difficult to get into). Good networks include:
• Clickbooth
• Copeac
• Hydra
• Pepperjam
You'll probably have better luck getting into Copeac or Commission Junction.

You can also signup for ClickBank, a digital products marketplace and begin promoting products from there. Look for high gravity and popularity.

If you are going to go that route you'll need loads of articles with good keywords in popular niches to get a few sales a day.

Here are a couple of other ideas.
1. You say you like to write eh? Buy some hosting space and put up a site offering content writing and then redirect visitors from EZA to you site and sell people your services.
2. Solve a problem or fill a need and create your own information product, put it on Clickbank and promote it.
3. Do some keyword research, find out what some high priced PPC keywords are and then create a blog around the topic and monetize it with adsense, amazon associate widget etc...
4. Create Squidoo lenses and Hubpages around popular topics, ad monetization to them and use your articles to promote those pages.
Hope that helps.

If you want some serious cash in the long term then I can only recommend you build a steady and reliable mailing list through your website.

Obviously you will need to add back-links and/or carry out some sort of SEO in order to boost the Google ranking of your site so as to increase the numbers of individuals subscribing to your mailing list....but ys i will reiterate mailing lists are the key to long term profitability.

Thanks duncanb, Being new to all of this, I still have to figure out how to build a mailing list. I do have my brother helping me in his spare time (which is very limited), so that is why I'm trying to learn on my own. What is SEO? I'm sorry I must sound crazy, but everyone has to start somewhere right? :/

Hi ExpertWriter,

SEO, Search Engine Optimization. Not rocket science as some would have you believe. Overlaps with SEM Search Engine Marketing.

Here is the quick and dirty about SEO.

Find some keywords using the Google Keyword Tool. You will probably be looking at long tail keywords related to your site whatever that is such as "Party supplies Las Vegas," or "Vegas wedding favors" etc...

If you are going to put up your own site I recommend getting a keyword rich domain name such as "vegaspartysupplies.com" and put the keyword in the name. Domains are cheap and you could really buy dozens of them. You can redirect them to your main site if they are really long. The purpose is to own that real estate (=keyword rich domains).

Other SEO factors include things like the following:
• Using your Keywords early and often.
• Keywords in your title tag and headings
• Keywords in your links such as Your Keywords Here
• A sitemap. (simple text document telling search engines what pages are in your site.)
• Meta Description and Meta Keywords (things invisible to users contained in the "head" portion of a webpage.)
• Original and frequently updated content.
• Keyword density of below 2% (Not sure how valid that is.)
• InterLinking of pages on your site
• Perhaps one of the more important SEO principles is getting similar sites with good age, high pageviews and high pagerank to link back to your site. Make sure they are "follow" rather than "nofollow" links.
There's really a whole world of things you can do with off page SEO/SEM but this should get you started. A good site for learning about SEO is seomoz.org.

Good luck.

Make a presell page to send your traffic to.

Then just keep writing articles, I find that 48 clickthroughs probably won't result in sales.

If after 200 clicks I don't have a sale, I come around here looking for help.

Oh ok,, I gotcha. See that was something that I needed to know whether it was normal or not. lol I was getting worried, seeing so many people talking about how much money this can bring in, and I haven't had a sale yet. I am patient, and I'm not looking to get hundreds overnight, just wondered is all. Thanks!
