Optin Video vs Optin E-book

Have any of you run experiments comparing optin rates for video vs ebook? I've seen it done both ways (video is generally a two-parter lasting an hour or so total, you optin to see Part II) but really don't have a feel for which is more effective. All things considered I'd prefer doing videos, but ebooks/white papers seem to be the preferred optin bait.

I prefer videos for products but ebooks for opt-ins. It really all depends on the content you are offering.

I think it all depends on the product and the person...

some people are great at videos and some are just writers...

I myself use videos, it converts more for me.

on the other hand my partner never does videos. He's a writer and can
sell pretty much anything just by writing.

here's the way I use videos optins:

I make a video showing results and proof.

then they have to optin for the actual technique
      on how to do it.

but there are so many ways that you can go about this. shoot I
can write a book on it ;-)
