i will be developing websites for clients.i am debating do i host on reseller account or just let them worry about hosting/domain management?

i will guide them through my affiliate link to key in their credit card to register hosting and domain.

    It really all depends on how many clients you have. You could also give them a month off of hostgator and collect commission as well, just another option.

    Hi baronig,

    You can actually do both. You will find that some clients will prefer to choose their own hosting server and some will just let you choose for them. ou must be ready to accommodate both.

    Hi,

    I find for the most part offline clients will choose what you suggest they choose. So it gets back to what you want out of this.

    If you are in for the sale, setup, and move on then they need their own hosting.

    If you are in for the long haul go with a resellers account. You have much more "control" in that case.

    Either way, they will usually take what you suggest.

    If you're not wanting to worry about technical hassles down the road and are in it just for the short term, just get them hosting with your affiliate link in it, there's another option there which will at least net you some commissions.

    Yeh, I would suggest you to get them hosting accounts with your own affiliate link in it.
    Try lunar pages affiliate program which allows you to create accounts for your clients
    using your own affiliate link and pays you $65 per sale.
