If You Needed To Make Money QUICK, What Would You Do?

Imagine this scenario.....

You just lost your job and you want to make some money with internet marketing.

You have limited money to invest in anything because you don't have an income now.

Because you're new, you don't have any type of list.

What would you do to begin making money today?

I'm sure this thread can be a great resource for a lot of people so let's keep this to things that have worked for newbies.....

Well....making money "quick" with Internet Marketing as a newbie is oxymoron. There is no get rich quick scheme for beginners, if there was, I would package it up and sell or give it away in this Forum.

People go to college for 2 to 4 years to learn a profession that can earn them income. Making money online is a business and its NOT for people with a retail/paycheck/1040 Tax Return mentality. Grant me...those people can earn income online but just not very much.

People who are successful online spend hours learning and educating themselves with IM and have an entrepreneurial spirit in them that drives them to success. The learning curve to making money online is 3 to 6 months, much less than college.

This is just one mans opinion :-)

I would first write down my own skill set. I would ask myself: what am I good at?

    Perhaps I'm a gifted writer.
Or maybe I'm really good with photoshop.
    Or web design.

Then I would utilize my most prized skill to create a quick portfolio of articles, graphics, websites, ect...

Then I would go and offer my services in return for payment made via paypal.

I would reinvest some of the money I made to set up a website.

Then I would continue to offer my services, here or elsewhere. I would make sure to over-deliver on my work to make the customers as happy as possible in hopes they give me some good recommendations.

Personally, that is what I would do for fast paypal cash.

    Hope it helps,

    Paul

well for me I would examine myself and see what exactly am good at, then start working with myself to develop myself. Then the next thing is to offer your services to people and get paid for it. Then reinvesting it into your business thereby taking it to a large scale. Then continue offering your services at of course high price.

    Thanks

It's the same question I've been asking myself for the last couple of months when I started learning IM.
During that time I made 300 $ and spent about 5-6 hours a day, every day, reading and exploring. Now I am in the process of creating my first e book and I hope it will finally bring some of the spent money back.

I don't think you will make money quick if you are newbie. IM is not a "press button and earn money" kind of thing, so if you need cash fast it will probably be better to find a job again, and start learning. Here on the WF you can many valuable information for free.

IM is filled with a lot of hard working dedicated people who have honed thier skills to become good/great at what they do. If making money quickly was that easy we'd all be up to other things.

However, don't be discouraged. Sit down and identify what you are great at and what you are passionate about. Review your skills knowledge and experience and then identify how you could put them to good use. Do you have knowledge that people would love to learn from. Have you life experiences that you could share that would be of benefit to others? If yes is this information something people would be willign to pay for and if yes why would they, what makes what you are offering different?

So before you think about making money quick you need to get real clear about what you can do for others.

        Good luck

I'm beginning to think Allen needs to make people watch a video on how to use the search function before allowing people to post. <--- Sorry, nothing personal against the OP, but a pet peeve of mine.

To answer the OP's questions. Sell your services. Then work for it!

If you are completely new to IM, you might want to start outsourcing yourself writing articles, content, etc..

This way you'll get used to the idea of creating content, without having to worry about whether your website is converting.

You won't be rich from it, but you'll make some money while you are learning.

You can open up an author account with Textbroker, and start writing articles for people.

Not to be blunt but here is what I would do if I were you. I would find myself another job to make sure all of your personal bills are taken care of. Then, I would start building my online business by either getting immersed in this forum or finding a mentor to work with personally.

Does not matter whether you are selling your own services or a product, you will still need to learn how to sell over internet. These skills can take time to learn, 6-12 months or longer, so having the job there to help take care of you until you can build these skills is very important. There is no such thing as jumping on the internet and making tons of money in a short amount of time. It takes both time and money... no matter how you slice it.

So take care of your immediate needs now wih the job, build the skills to sell online over time, and make it a goal that 6-12 months from now you will walk away from the job and never go back! That is what I did and have been self-sufficient on the internet since then.

I think an a-l-l in o-n-e thread with this is in order as the number of threads like this is increasing everyday and it would probably be a good idea to condense all the input in one easily located place.

I just hope ´there isn't one already (didn´t check) or else I´ll be looking pretty silly right now.

On the subject matter, if you need to make money quick, your best bet is probably to freelance on what you were working on before you lost your job as you are already qualified for it and have the experience.

Obviously some jobs might be harder to work as a freelancer than others for various reasons but if you need to make money quick, learning a new skill set is not the way to go.

I would take what money I had, and invest in a year of web hosting. Before this, I would have already signed up for as many affiliate programs as I could find. Do some research, gather some articles, ect. Get prepared, decide what sort of website you are going to shoot for and get some templates ready. THEN get the hosting. Use their site builder if they have one or use various templates online and plaster those affiliate links all over the website. Update it daily with fresh content related to whatever affiliate program you are pushing at that time.

    This is a start.

      This.

And you havn't said if we know about IM or not, just that funds are limited.

But knowing what I know now, I wouldn't put any emergency funds into IM, I'd find any job, at the very least one I know is always in popular demand which is get several paper rounds.

I would look at my skill set and see if its of any value, if not then I'd learn on the side whilst learning as much as possible. Those 2 things are what I would do if I didn't know about IM.

Obviously I'd aim higher than paper rounds but at the very least if I had nothing else I'd go for that.

If I knew about IM but wasn't actively taking part in building a business but realised I had to do due to money, I'd buy a domain and like above a years worth of reseller hosting account.

Find proffitable niches using free tools, then either build up traffic to different niche sites and get people to eventually purchase affiliate products, and sell ad space to sites within my niche when my stats are worthy.

I'd use Article Marketing to direct people straight to the offer and to my website. Try ranking them.

The other thing I would do is with my reseller hosting I'd start collating information from my Niche sites to solve a problem and build a membership site for that niche with drip feeding.

And various other backlinking methods and direct traffic methods.

Sales letters, designs, squeeze pages can all be found for free and with abit of effort can be self edited.

O and I'd subscribe to an Autoresponder.

So I profit from Ad space, affiliate products bought via my blog, articles, press releases and so on..

Eventually have enough data on niches to make a few membership sites (and there are a few membership scripts for wordpress that are available for free or trials)

Through this alone you could build a 7-figure income eventually, and it takes up mostly time without much investment.

Soon as I get money, my mission would be to outsource.

      Jay.

Well for quick online money I would try Ebay. Pick a product on an affiliate site, or dropship site or chinavision and put it up on ebay. winner sends you money, you buy the stuff and post it to your buyer. Make as much as you want.
