How do I find the IP address for my computer or any computer I log on to?
Also, if there are several computers hooked up in a network, wireless or otherwise, will they all have the same IP? thanks

If you're using Windows > Start Menu > Run > Type cmd in the open field and enter. When the command prompt appears type: ipconfig

the ipconfig and the ip address from "http://whatismyipaddress.com/" show 2 different addresses because I am wirelessly connected to another computer. Which IP does the internet "see" as my address if I am connected remotely? thanks

Try this site ---.ip-adress.--- I use it daily to check the locality of visits to my site. It will give you your own IP address plus any incoming ip addresses.

The one on the web shows the ip outside your network. I forgot the instructions i gave you give only your address on your network.
