Best practices for weight loss newsletter?

Hey all,

I've been collecting emails through my weight loss site... I am using Aweber for this and all leads are double opt-ins.

Occasionally I do send a weight loss newsletter, with short bits of advices on losing weight. My main goal is to remind people about my site and to make them visit my site again and again (and make more sales).

My site is affiliate website, promoting weight loss pills. So I'm wondering if there are people here who do the same or similar thing (weight loss newsletter).

Currently my list is only about 500-600 people, I understand it's not big at all.... But I was wondering about the best way to approach the whole thing about weight loss newsletter.

My goal is to have more sales through affiliate website, but at the same time I don't want to send emails to my list about diet pills all the time.... Somehow I have to make people sell to themselves..

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
kx

One might suggest some weight loss PLR

Seriously though what you need to be looking at is leading them to the sale, enticing them into thinking pills are a good idea rather than telling them they are.

Now I don't know what pills you are referring to right now but most promise quicker results for weight loss, less effort etc. So talk about how hard weight loss is, the effort they need to put in to exercise, how how dieting will leave them hungry.

Don't make it all negative, in fact try be positive, just sneak in enough subtle hints that they would be happy to consider other ways of losing weight. Then you can either send out a proper pill one from time to time or leave the occassional link in your newsletter

don't try sell them, try get them to think it for themselves

Tell them about the dangers of diet pills, since most of them are crap anyway, tell them the "REAL" way to loose weight but break it down for them.

Give them a years training program, like, do 30 mins exercise this day and this day... eat this and this and this and so on. If they optin for a years free exercise plan then you got them for at least a year.
