Can a wordpress site get good search rankings?

I was told by someone that seo could not be done on wordpress sites? Is this true?

    It's a big fat lie!

    Most of my sites are Wordpress, and I can assure you, good SEO is quite possible, and it's very easy to rank well in Google.

    Of course, that has a lot to do with how you put your site together. In itself, a WP theme is not going to get you ranked in Google.

    Oh, and you can use the All in One SEO plugin as well.

    WP sites actually rank very well in SEs.

    Here's the SEO plugins I use: All-in-One SEO Pack, Google XML sitemaps, Permalink Migrator, Sociable, PC Robots.txt

    In fact its the other way, WP sites rank much better than a normal html sites do.
