Finding an enthusiast to work with

I have a few sites ranking in niches that bore me to tears. Some niches I get into and enjoy putting together the information and emails, and some I don't so I just get some outsourced articles and bung them together and do some seo.

Not surprisingly the hashed up sites, even though they rank well, don't make much/any money.

My idea now if to go to the main forums for these niches and find enthusiasts who love the niche and contribute to the community and get them to write and manage the content for the sites. I'd obviusly split the profits with them as well.

As I wil be approaching key people in the same online communities I am marketing to I think some careful etiquette is called for. I don't want to come across the wrong way incase it gets me a bad name before I even get started.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to approach potential partners in these niche forums and what angle to come from?

Many thanks

Man alive that is a tough assignment.

You could easily get it very wrong.
I think to do it properly you would need to spend a month on each forum before approaching someone.

Maybe you could post the niches somewhere for warriors to see if they want to get involved

Pretty sure I would stay away from the "bore me to tears" line. How about approaching it from a time standpoint. " I just do not have the time to properly take care of the site" Seems like that may go over better.
