How Do I Find TV Shows That Has A Cult Following & Are No Longer On TV

I'm trying to find the keywords & how popular old tv shows
are that are off air & has a good fan base.

I found this site Old TV Shows & used the google adwords tool to
find out how popular the shows are but it's not pulling the
individual show keywords.

Perhaps have a look at websites that sell boxsets and see what old tv shows are still selling

Agree...go to your local store and take a look at what old TV shows are still selling as box sets. This will give you a list of shows you can research further...via keyword research, competition, etc.

It wouldn't surprise me if the original stargates and star treks have a following.

I don't think that StarTrek still has a following.

        Anyway,

May the force be with you, live long and prosper, We simply must accept the fact that Captain Kirk is no longer alive.

They are still playing them on the UK sci fi channel

          Try telling my dad this.

You could check out hulu as they have older television shows on them and then check out the reviews and discussions on them to see how many people are talking about them. You can also check out the bestsellers on Amazon especially the boxed sets and go through for older TV shows. I checked really quick and one that stick out as a bestseller was Thirtysomething.

A few off hand that I know still have a huge following are:
          90210 (the original series)
          Buffy the Vampire Slayer
          Angel
          Dawsons Creek
          Dallas
          I Love Lucy
Abbott and Costello - I believe this was a TV show not just movies
          Beavis and Butthead
          Mary Tyler Moore Show

Some of these shows may have repeats on TV as I don't know if that matters to you or not.

You can watch one of the Star Trek series any night of the week if you have cable - some times on multiple channels simultaneously. Sometimes it seems as if that's the only thing showing - sort of the same way MASH used to be on all the time.

Almost every old science fiction show has a cult following of some sort.

          To TiffanyB's list I'd add:

          Firefly
          X-Files
          The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
          The Prisoner
          Quantum Leap
          Bionic Man
          Babylon 5
          A-Team

And pretty much any of the programs that have a large number of people writing Fan Fic.

          See, for example, these directories:
          TV Shows - FanFiction.Net
Open Directory - Arts: Online Writing: Fiction: Fan Fiction: Multifandom

Also, pay attention to the buzz about TV shows that are either being remade as updated series or feature films. The main reason to do that is if there is already a decent sized fan base for the original.

I'm doing a search now on ebay with a software program pulls down the completed auctions for
categories & I've picked the dvd category & hopefully that will tell me whats selling.

I tried blockbuster & there's no category for old movies
to bad because a lot of people rent old movies there.

me a gage of what people are willing to pay to see them.
