Soccer related startup company

Hi Warriors!

I am working on a startup company and would like to see if some of you guys can get my internet marketing ideas going.

Our first main goal is to attract American/Latino soccer fans in the United States to come to our website.

Soon I will tell you guys all about my current project, but for now it's enough to know what the target market is.

Current Ideas are to write press releases and send them to the appropriate media outlets: news papers's sports sections and soccer blogs. But osme of this may be a stretch to get storeis picked up on.

What other internet marketing can be done to get exposure to this market?

Thanks a lot for the ideas! any small ideas that would just point me in the right direction would be very appreciated.

To get exposure on the web and to drive some traffic and create backlinks, you could try blog commenting on niche related blogs.

This will create a foundation for your site and you should get some targetted traffic to kickstart your new venture.

    Thanks, is it Barry?

Right, I did a lot of my Warrior time learning about back-linking as an SEO practice. But what you said makes sense. useful and interesting blog commenting will serve two purposes for me. It will give our site a backlink structure for SEO purposes, but will also start driving a bit of traffic there!

Sounds great and it's going on my list of ideas for internet marketing. Once that list is complete I'll be developing it into a solid internet marketing plan.

    Thanks again

One thing I would do is focus on the personalities.
That means using the soccer (football) players names to get visitors.
      People also follow teams fanatically.

The current celebrity culture really plays to your advantage. People are looking for information on these guys and teams

So players and teams will give you 1,000's of possible keywords to use for SEO

      Come on you Royals!!!!!!!!!

This is another good idea. We actually have started doing that. A section of our website has a blog. and we are posting about the latest soccer news on the blog. Say for example a big soccer personality has a great game and scores a hat trick, then if we write about it we might get the blog post picked up on google. Is that what you mean? Our last blog post did not get indexed yet though, and the news ran cold, so it didn't work that time around, but hey, it's not difficult writing blog posts on soccer headlines, we'll keep at that.

        Thank you!
