how many months are your membership sites continously running for?

do some of yours run on for forever? - if so what is the strategy you use for creating content for the monthy customers?

(i ask this from a content churning/creating point of view)

I like to drip content based on when the member signed up... as for length that depends on how much content you have

I say around 8 to 12 months is good with something 'big' at the end
    (will increase stick rate)

In most cases, the average subscriber of a membership site will be active for 5 months before cancelling. Deliver insane value, and look for ways to increase stick rate like special bonuses.

  • If numbers count more to you than money, then do OTO's like pay for an extra month and knock off and extra dollar each time.

This works if you're drip feeding. For example:

    1st Month, 19.95 standard price.
    2nd Month, 18.95
    3rd Month, 17.95

and so on... works best if the site is a 12+ month site, because people want to reach the point where they are paying 1 dollar for valuable info.

Another OTO, offer a one time payment, for ever 3 month in advance you knock of 15% of the actual price, so for 3 months in advance which is 59.85

you knock off around 9 dollars.

6 months you knock off 30% or do it in increments of 20, really you have endless amounts of ways of enticing your customer to stay, in the end more customers is going to trump instant money, because you can use them as affiliates and to cultivate your community.

Tough question that might well depend on how long, time-wise, you want to (or anticipate keeping) a member enthralled by your content.

Niche Blitzkrieg is one of the best programs out there with a flat rate fee and no monthly fees. It's a no brainer to join a community that will help you grow your business for so cheap.
