Don't Be Afraid To Answer Questions

I just opened a thread where somebody was asking about how people
manage their passwords.

By the time I got there, about a half dozen people all said Roboform.

Now, some might figure, "Well, no point in me saying the same thing that's
already been said, so I just won't bother putting in my 2 cents."

Wrong thinking...and here's why.

For starters, certainly you have something you can add. Maybe your own
personal experience that might be helpful.

Then there's this, and it's something I don't think a lot of people think about.

YOU may just be one of the people here at this forum who the OP respects
enough to value YOUR opinion over most others.

So, 6 people saying whatever the answer is, is fine. But it may just be
the 7th response, YOURS, that puts them over the top to buy.

I have had that happen to me several times where that one person said
something and that was the clincher for me.

Finally, if everybody felt the same way, after the first response, nobody
other than that person would have given an answer and the OP would be
left with one choice based on one opinion.

Not the smartest way to make a decision in my book.

So please, don't be afraid to voice your opinion on a subject, even if
it's something that somebody else has already said.

Sometimes the best way to come to a conclusion is when a room full of
people all shout at the same time...<insert reply>.

Anyway, it's something to think about.
