Autoresponder - Fran Kern

Hi,

I've been wondering...this is the second time I've heard Frank Kern say that he doesn't like autoresponders...and neither she we.

That's interesting...but does anyone really know why he says that (other that the obvious non-personal stuff) and more importantly, does anyone know how he handles his massive lists then?

Maybe he has his own "type" of autoresponder...not the standard Aweber. I don't know.

Thanks!

Andyf

I can't speak for Frank, but I think he was talking about using a series of pre-written autoreponder messages, not the technology itself.

He does use an AR to manage his lists.

I think you will find hes talking about those chump people who sign up for a list using an account that has one of those out of office replys/vacation reply or the ones that say

"your email is important to us i will respond as soon as i read it" crap

I could be wrong... I was wrong once before 1967 I think it was

Weird, I listen to a ton of his stuff and purchase a lot of his products. I have never heard him say this. As a matter of fact, most of his products are geared towards either building a list to promote a product or how to use an existing list that maybe dead and "beef" it up for conversions again.

I would love to hear where you have heard this from. Exa: What video or product/seminar?

    Thanks,
    Shane

I've heard him say it a few times. One time comes to mind is in his list building course. He says it's ok have a few in the beginning of the autoresponder sequence but after that it's no no.

He says it fake and your subscribers can see through it a mile especially when you've got them going for months

I have to say that i owe alot to autoresponders, If it wasnt for autoresponders i would not have been able to build several lists of 10,000+ individuals effectively accross several niches.

Frank uses Infusionsoft to manage his list, but does not send out a typical series of followup responses. Instead he uses it to "blast" messages when he has something to share (broadcast).

That's part of what makes it work so well for him. It's more "authentic" since it's not robotic ("in 2 days you'll get this... then 2 days after that you'll get...")...

As you probably know, Frank is all about authenticity (just check out Core Influence)... so sending broadcast messages makes sense for him.

    YMMV.

      I dont agree with that.

Yes, maybe for those that operate in the "make money online" niche. Most subscribers in other niches dont have a clue you're communicating with them via autoresponder.

I use video E-mails in my autoresponder which really personlizes the otherwise impersonal form E-mail. It helps to build a personal relationship with my prospects because they continually hear and SEE me speak and can get a good glimpse of my personality, the genuineness of my business, my product and most importantly, MYSELF!

Thanks for the input...I think you guys are right. When I get something from him, it's usually useful...not a canned message...or series of messages.

The lastest he mentioned this autoresponder thing is in a video he just did a couple of days ago. This was from the results of the survey that he did a week or so ago. He mentions in there about a course he'll be teaching that goes over the "no autoresponder" thing.

I was just wondering because I was going to sign up with Aweber at some point...probably still will I guess.
