Ok guys,

Honestly, when you promote your product/affiliate product are you really being honest with your prospects?
As in, marketing requires a lot of hard work, time and effort.

Or are you sugarcoating everything and stuffing your salescopy with a bunch of hype?

We all know people don't like effort, or to put in a little work. They want things to be easy and handed to them on a silver plate. Do you think a little honesty can hurt sales rates?

What do you think sales better, honesty or a bunch of hype?

Unfortunately hype probably converts better, everyone looks for that magic bullet. But if you do that, you're setting yourself up for failure and a bad reputation. Better to be honest and get a few less sales (but a very low refund rate). Just my opinion :-)

I'm sure hype sells better or we wouldn't see so much of it. Personally, I don't do hype. I may be "excited" in my sales letter, but that's because I'm excited about my product. Honesty is the best policy.

The tools being used to market products are only used because they work. If people start demanding more realism and still purchased things will change...........but all this goes back to the days of the Barnum and Bailey circus........Hype works............it sells....sad....

Hype is not wrong, lies are...

A hypey salespage doesn't have to be a dishonest salespage.

Also know that hype sells. take a look at the best salespages...
    they're all a little hypey.

Honesty ties in to creditability - whats the point in making one sale and losing the customer forever? It's better to be honest, overdeliver, and build a customer base that trusts you and knows when they buy a product from you it will be everything you say and more.

    I agree with IM Headlines.

Its not one or the other, the truth can be given in one of 3 ways.

    1. Pessimistically
    2. Passively / Factual.
    3. Optimistically and with great fervour fostered in belief. (is this hype)

For me the key is: -Its ok to be hypey if you truly know that something works, hey why would you not get excited about it!

    Downright lies are not acceptable.

Tell the truth, but make it extra sparkly! I guess that is the best bet.

You don't even have to mention how hard or easy something is, or how fast or long something takes. Just sell 'em the benefits.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
