Warning All My Links Now Go To A Sex Site

This is just a word of warning about linking to a domain in places where you have no control and then selling or letting the domain expire.

A fellow warrior has just informed me that the links in my wso PDFs which I sold now go to a Adult site.

I foolishly let the domain lapse and now despite it being a site in the IM niche someone is redirecting all the traffic to an adult site.

Just a cautionary tale.

I get the ebook, AND I get directed to porn!

Perhaps this is a new type of "extra bonus" to add to the models...

      :p

That sucks for you, I know from experience. I had a similar incident happen several years ago.

In my first book I listed several online resources in the reference section in the back. One of those resources (for a Paint Shop Pro user group) let the domain name expire and a porn site bought it. Now, my book was being used as a college and high school text book, so all of a sudden my book was sending instructors and students to a porn site! Not good, but luckily it was nearing the end of it's cycle and I was already working on a second edition.

I kept the resource links on my own web site after that, so I could change them as needed.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
