What is the difference between Article rewriting Vs Article spinning?

Are they same?Or they different? Can both rewiting and spinning can be done with the same Tools?

I use Power Article rewiter to Rewrite?should i use a Different Tool To Spin?

Sorry to ask so many questions...but Article rewriting newbies like me will benefit if experienced article writers comment here....

Either way, spinning or doing it yourself, the result can be crap. The lure of spinners is speed, but unless you really know what you're doing to set up the seed article, you'll get pure garbage out of them.

    As I understand it...

    1) Traditionally speaking, there is no difference between the two terms. One is just lingo for the other.

    2) In a more modern sense, I think there is a trend to consider automated systems that do the "rewriting" for you to be "spinners" versus actual, human "rewriting."

Oxbloom's definition makes sense to me.....Just have to verify if it is correct also.

I agree with both of you, I think if you are going to use A Article Spinner, Spin It, Then Go Over It In Microsoft Word And Look For Errors.

The Spinning Software Sometimes Leave It Unreadable or doesn't make sense. I have some software. But the articles do not come out good. I would manual spin them with my own software and then reedit. I think this is the best way to go about doing it.

Or hire a good article writer. This is always the best option. Save Time And In The Long Run Money!

Both the same really, it just means changing words and phrases for similar ones to restructure a piece of text.

I've always considered rewriting as a human actually rewriting the articles manually.

That is the best way to look at it for the sake of this discussion.

An article can be rewritten by hand or "spun" through a type of software "spinner".

I always define rewriting as by hand and "spinning" with the help of automation.

On this subject, I would like to say that John (Zeus66) above is a hell of a writer and very experienced article marketer.

He has a product "How To Rewrite Content Lightning Fast , And Make Good Money" which is one of, if not the best product on the subject of rewriting that I have seen. As well as use.

Although John and I are friends, I paid for this product and use it myself and recommend it as customer not just his friend blowing smoke.

I would suggest that anyone involved in Article Marketing go check it out.

There is really no difference, you just won't be getting the quality that you would with unique hand written content.

This might be a bit off topic but if you must spin articles I find this a much better alternative:

When you write your original article first write out a quick draft of what you want to say.

Then start writing it paragraph by paragraph.

When you have finished the first paragraph, re-write it again, and again....at least 4 times. I try to aim for 5.

Continue this for every paragraph until the article is completed.

Instead of having just one article, you will have 4 other 'spun' articles for directories etc.

Spun articles are not perfect but having the 'human' touch like this is a much better way to churn the articles out.

If you look at rewriting as doing it by hand, then why wouldn't you get the quality you need or want?

If left up to a "spinner" or automated tool then it could be a crap shoot.

Starting out with a high quality article written by hand and then rewritten by hand could produce an article with the same quality as the first. Just different words.

I have to agree with Caneh.

so I would suggest to hire a reliable and experienced writer instead. A unique hand written content done by a well experienced staff is definitely great..

I believe that this is the best way to churn out articles. Hire a reliable writer or outsource it from an article writing service. This way you still get quality articles everytime.

They are both the same exact thing and yes you can use the same tool to write and spin.. Using the proper tool properly will get you very well written and unique articles that DO NOT have to be checked after spinning...

I find some responses in this thread real funny ...lol

Generally, they are the same. The only difference is that, you can do article rewriting manually by hand, article spinning is done through the use of a spinning software/tool.

Yes technically speaking they are the same thing. To spin an article is to replace equivalent phrases to rewrite articles.

So how should we define the difference between a human rewriting my article with no software help, a human rewriting using help from software, and an article being put into an automated software program that rewrites the article without a human influence?

Whether or not you believe the end results are the same from any of the above differences is beside the point. If I as a customer want it done a certain way I think we should have a way to define the differences.

I realize that a rose by any other name is still a rose but some people would prefer to have a human rewrite the article without the help of software.

So in that case would we still call a human writer that is rewriting the article by hand with a physical pad and paper a "spinner"? I don't.

If I don't think of a human writer as being a "spinner" even though they "spun" the article and a piece of software can "rewrite" without being a writer then how do we distinguish between the different methods?

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I think article rewriting and spinning are different.

Spinners just substitute words with synonyms, when a human rewrites an article that person will rewrite the whole sentence, word order and use different words, but the basic meaning is the same.

At least that is how rewriting should be in my opinion

      let's rewrite this============================================

Rewriting content and using a spinner are not the same.

Spinners only replace words with words that mean the same thing. When a person writes an article using information from another article that writer will create an entirely new sentence. Different words will be used and changed around but the overall idea will not change.

My question is if the first paragraph is on my website and I submit the rewritten paragraph to an article directory will Google be able to tell that the 2nd paragraph came from the first.

Article spinning is different from article rewriting. Spinning involves changing words to produce several variations. With each word you "spin", comes a different variation of the original article. Which means the original article still exists, which is the biggest difference with article rewriting. You have to permanently change the words with rewriting.

I view both as doing the same thing, taking one version of content and creating a different version of that same content. I think where folks start to see a difference is how they view the words spinning and rewriting.

Rewriting tends to point towards a singular viewpoint where spinning conjures images of multiple viewpoints. At least that's how I think of it. For example, when I say I'm rewriting an article I'm generally only creating one additional version but when I spin an article I'm creating anywhere from 30-50 new versions.

Either way, there is one fundamental and universal truth about article rewriting/spinning and that is, garbage in, is garbage out. Start with a quality article and ensure you create a quality article or articles.

Garbage in Garbage out - Words To Live by With Article Marketing.

I have found that the time it takes to spin an article in a legible format I could have written a brand new article anyway. Sure you only get 1 version and not say 1000 as you might with an automated spinner, but it fresh new content!

Not sure about the new kid on the block called the BestSpinner - looks interesting and fast. I haven't looked into yet...But it is an Automated Article Spinner - Replacing words, phrases, paragraphs with alternate text/s to produce an article that is 'x' percentage different form the original.

And no..I have no association with that product at all...not that there is anything wrong with that...

The garbage in equals garbage out is a powerful statement because far to many new online marketers using article marketing get too caught up in the whole rewriting/spinning dilemma when they should really be focusing their time and efforts on the basics of creating a quality article first.

Beginner article marketers are much better off learning how to create a good article title, quality content and a call to action resource box before moving on to the leverage obtained from rewriting/spinning an article.

    I would say in general:

Article Rewriting = writing the article anew with one new version as the output
Article Spinning = replacing common phrases with tags [for example replace "Hi" with "{Hello, Hi There|How You Doing?}" ] so that you can produce multiple version of the article.

Rewriting could be thought of as more manual and spinning more automatic, but if the tags are replaced properly, the output is just as good as a rewritten article.

There is a thin line difference both... Rewriting - as the name says it is writing it again, more of repharsing... where spinning is simply find and replacing few specific words with their synonyms...

As Dhira correctly says.. spinning can be easily automated.. repharsing requires manual intervention, however not impossible to automate it, perhaps you need to compromise on quality.
