Hello Fellow Warriors,

I was wondering if I could get some pointers and help in regard to starting up with Webstores. Can anyone recommend good Webstore service? Also, does anyone have experience with Freewebstore.org?

    I would create an Ebay shop or a Yahoo store or even Amazon... or all 3!

    These are the best out there and I believe it's best to associate with the best.

    There are many bonuses to both an Ebay store and a Yahoo store.

    An ebay store:
    - Tonnes of free traffic via ebay
    - You can get 75% off of ebay fees by delivering outside traffic (i.e. SEO, PPC, articles, etc etc) to your shop
    - You look more reputable
    - Can build up feedback
    - Can create an email list for buyers and send them special offers or new products from the same niche
    The list really does go on.

    Very similar with Amazon!!

    Yahoo stores:
    - Looks more reputable
    - There are some great services within Yahoo to use for getting traffic.
    - Your store will rank easily for keywords as Google and SE's see it is from a reputable source (yahoo).

      I also with Yahoo store...

      Business takes direct benefits of Slurp Engine even with google engine too. It can be easily Maintainable.

      Anybody have any queries for Yahoo Development, feel free to reach me at the moments. I am handing 14+ Yahoo store sites for various business. I have their feedback for their business, according to all of them they have 23% more business by online.

      Interested to discuss about Yahoo Store Development and Maintenance

    So I am assuming you are looking to start an e-commerce store to sell physical products correct? I would stay away from freewebstore.org IMO (I have been building e-commerce stores since 2008).

    So if you can let me know,

    How many products? How many SKU's
    How many categories? Sub-Categoreis?
    Shipping Options?
    How many options/attributes?

    I would not do Yahoo stores and I would not do Amazon web stores either. Yahoo stores are extremely dates looking and haven't kept up with the time. They are not mobile ready and they use a funky markup called RTML that you have to work with. Amazon is expensive and clunky for what you get plus Amazon gets to see all your sales data and backdoor you.

    Most likely Shopify or BigCommerce will work best for you based on what you are asking. No such thing as free, so if you don't have the tech skills, this is your best bet. If you do have some tech skills, check out Opencart and Prestashop. Modern efficient shopping cart scripts.

    I also second his motion not to yahoo or ebay or amazon, for one yahoo sucks and the other two are just to be an affiliate site.

    You can either use a script or a theme or plugin, I would suggest an ecommerce theme in wordpress.
