What are you doing to help with disaster relief?

Hello Warriors,

Just curious what's everyone doing to attempt to raise money to help with disaster relief in Haiti? People think I'm insane for doing this, but I've challenged myself and my team of affiliates to attempt to make a million dollars in sales within a month's time.
Even though its sort of a stretch I feel its possible other wise I wouldn't partake in it.

I think it is really important that people give back to the community in any way that they can.

I am a member of my local Lions Club and we are working year round to raise funds that we can donate on to those in need when disaster strikes.

    Cheers,

  • Your goal is way beyond my ability. However, I do wish you the best of luck in achieving the million dollar target. Helping the needy is very good deed and I definitely support it 100%. Go Jon Go!

Do remember to update your status on the work. I am sitting tightly, and hoping for your good news. Thanks for your good deed. Go Jon Go!

I don't know how many IMers ever worked in the emergency aid "business". I guess not many... I did. It is way more complicated than raising funds.

Did you know that sometimes NGOs have to bag people to stop donating into 'special funds' (like the ones for disaster relief in Haiti)?
