At this moment in time I am self employed with a website design business.
I have learnt some new tricks with a package i bought, but I have a problem
with findng time to get this set up.

On one hand I need to generate a 2nd income to supliment my day to day income
On the other I need to get day to day work done too.

i know there is a point where I need to decide, but does anyone have and advise?

There is another way to look at it. The great Marlon Sanders
says to start outsourceing from the very beginning.

I know this somes crazy if you think you have no money.

But he explains it as, someone else can do the work
10 faster than you can. You spend your time on marketing
        and building your list.

It took me 6 months of thinking about what he said, but
lo and be hold it worked for me.

I'm sure others will chime in.

my main concern right now is paying off bad debts and I need a deposit for a new house.
      Why the urgency?
Well i am a dad to be and we have a viewer for our house on monday.
So 2 months to earn something substantial seems pie in the sky a the moment

it does but at the moment its been a fine line between getting extra business and earning a living and paying bills.

I guess I am looking for a quick answer, but at the same time I know I needto put effort into any system

Im not looking for hand holding, I guess I am looking to hit the ground running

I was in much the same boat as you.

The thing is, you have to give up your free time in order to supplement your day to day income.

Hopefully, what you are doing to supplement it is something that is scaleable which will earn you more and more over time so that you eventually don't have to put in as many hours to work but can earn more money.

Maybe you could outsource some of either the day to day income or the other and still come out ahead money wise but also be able to free up some time?

Or raise your prices on your websites?

It depends on what you are outsourcing and what you charge for your final product but if you can outsource "a piece" of the product production and that allows you to actually produce 1 more product than you normally would be able to, then you could be ahead of the game (provided the task you outsourced cost you less than making one of the products).

    Does that make sense?

Yes, I understand. You don't want to output any money into outsourcing because you barely have enough to make ends meet, right?

Yet, the only way you can get ahead is to earn more money and the only way to do that is to produce more.

I don't know if that could be easily done with your business, but it's something to think about.

As long as you can find somebody who does good work at a reasonable price, then you should definitely outsource.

The other thing I would recommend is that you work at night, work a few hours when you would normally would be sleeping, every night. Plus it will give you a chance to get used to not sleeping very much after the baby arrives.

Since you build websites, have you thought about flipping sites for some quick cash? If you're any good at all at flipping sites, you should be able to do that. Go to flippa.com and click on just sold and go to the Warrior Forum - Complete Sites for Sale forum and see what's selling and give it a go.

Figure out which 80% of the work is bringing in 20% of your profits and eliminate them first.

Then focus on the 20% that brings in the 80%.

Pareto rule, if you've never heard of it.

    Thanks Guys

Would blogging or squido lenses be a good place to start or should I focus on websites?
