Don't throw away that old domain!
A couple of days ago I decided to resurrect an old blog that didn't go anywhere. Originally it was going to be a fun useless little blog but I moved on to other things and forgot all about it except for noticing a small trickle of search traffic on my stats page over the months.
So I thought instead of just letting it expire maybe I'll try turning it into something else. I've opted for an Amazon product content site and also threw some adsense on there for good measure.
Here's the shocking (to me) part...it seems google is in love with this site! Everything I've posted has been indexed with 12 hours, one article was indexed in just 3.5 hours. No backlinking, no bookmarking, no nothing. Just post the content and bang, google is all over it!
I don't know why this is happening or how long it will last but I'm making the most of it while it does.
Moral of the story: Don't throw away that old domain, post some new content to it and see if google likes it
