New and Invested, looking for some help

I had seen different courses and products for making money online over the years but never gave them much mind. I always figured they were some kind of scam or what not to get my money and I'd never make a dime.

Well I have been out of work for over a year and half now with some serious health problems. I have no real income and have really been struggling. So this time when I came across a course I decided to start researching. I came across all kinds of MLM and courses for learning to make money online but couldn't find any kind of real, true review for any of them. I then stumbled across WF here and started reading and grabbing the free ebooks. After several days of really fighting with myself, I took the plunge and joined the War Room. I also joined the PlugInPlaySystem but that seems to of been a mistake. I also joined so many opt ins that I can't get through my email account and unread emails just pile up and leave me crippled.

I ended up purchasing resell rights to a video information course. I got a domain and hosting from two separate companies. I finally managed to get all the files uploaded and my paypal account set up to Premier. Now I'm at a lost on what to do. I don't like the sales page but not sure what to do about it.

I need to work on a mailing list with opt in. I don't want to put the money to aweber if I can help it right now.

I want to know how to put up OTO pages that pop up when someone is trying to leave the website.

Any chance someone with experience would be willing to help me out a little advice and give me a little mentoring to at least get started. I'm hoping to manage $300 on this product just to get back the money I've put out. At that point I can decide if it's worth it to keep going with this one. If it's not, I can put a little of that money back into trying something else or decide it's not for me and get out all together.

I'm sorry, I could of wrote this better but my body and mind isn't doing well right now with medication reactions.

Sounds like your all over the place.

Why not start with affiliate marketing and there work you way into other areas like digital products, hard products, membership sites etc.

    Hi UT,

I can empathize with the challenge of starting a business while fighting health issues. Feel free to send me a PM if you could use additional moral support.

I signed up for an additional free webmail account, and put all the marketing mailing lists into it. I recommend you do the same. At least, set up some filters, rules, or folders, whatever they're called on your email, so the subscriptions go into a pile that's separate from your Inbox. Once a week, open each email and if it doesn't have positive information you can use for free, unsubscribe from the list.

Don't worry about missing out on your one chance at the world's greatest idea. The #1 lesson of the Warrior Forum is that ideas are like city busses, if you miss one there will be another soon enough.

AWeber offers a $1 first month trial.

I see that you're halfway to a plan, but I don't see anything about what you enjoy and what is possible to do even when you're sick. If you can narrow that down a bit it should be easier to build a better plan, since there are so many possible facets of internet marketing.

Once I know some more about your interests, I can PM you a note about a few War Room reports that might be especially good for you. Some of the reports won't really apply to you right now.

I hope this gives you a few ideas and a little bit of stress reduction.

    Chris

A far as i can see you are absolutely overloaded here.

You would be best to start concentrating on one main IM method and set out a clear set of objectives.

I would also cancel all subscriptions you have signed up for, start over again and be very selective about which lists i sign up for.

    hi,
I can really relate to what you're writing, that was more or less my situation when I just started. I can tell you that I am not the best person on technical things, but I know that this popup, is a software or something that you should add to your website or page (I'm not sure in which form it comes, because I just saw it promoted but never used it myself.)
The more important thing that I would like to tell you about is a website http://www.imreportcard.com/ where you can find different internet marketing programs, mentoring, services etc., practically anything you need in order to be an internet marketer. All the programs they write about are rated by users and there are also comments by users, so you know pretty much what to expect. I found it to be really helpful. They have a toolbar that you have to download and every IM site that you get to, you can see how it is rated and you can on the spot enter the IMreportcard site and see all the comments. Another thing is, if you find a website that is not rated you can submit it, and after 4-5 days they will generally present the website and open it for users' comments. I found this website very useful, I don't buy or subscribe to anything before I check it there.
Another point is that if you subscribed to too many newsletters and cannot handle it, just unsubscribe. Everyone that respects the law add an unsubscribe link, so if you don't find the letters useful, just unsubscribe. You can also open a mailbox exclusively for this purpose, and you can look there once in a while with no pressure. You don't have to read everything or buy all the products that are offered, not even those that are with special price... just relax.
    Wishing you good luck!

Sorry about that. I was quite out of it. I'd only had several hours of sleep spread out over several days. I collapsed shortly after that and slept for most of 16 hours. I would wake up, roll over, and pass right back out. It has taken me a while to get back to feeling semi normal after that and for me to be able to read the screen as my vision was messing up too much.

Thank you for the tips. I don't know what I find helpful in the emails and what I don't as I rarely get through them, and haven't started keeping a list of what has been helpful and what has not. I will probably take the advise and unsubscribe from all but the one's sending me PLR material. Fortunately I had started a new gmail account just for IM before I started signing up.

As far as being all over the board, I'm focused on selling one product right now as I have put money into it. My interest is to sell at least a few copies to cover my costs so far and see where to go from there.

Thank you Chris, I'll send you a PM when I get the chance to put some information together.

My plan as it currently stands is that I've got domain and hosting. I've got the product with a sales letter posted with paypal button linking to order, and it is set up to send the person to the download page after purchase. The order page currently doesn't have any real protection, just meta tags telling spiders not to list it and what not. I have been trying to work on back links to get some SEO, which I have some questions about.

I still need to target keywords.

I still need to get an opt in list.

Decide on using an on exit OTO.

More back links and other traffic.

My question on forum backlinks, do you just need to get your website address into the profile where it lists your website? Or do you need to drop in html code there with anchor text? Or do you need to get your link with anchor texts into actual posts? I'm wary about just dropping into forums and dropping a link, even in a related forum.

    Thanks everyone for the responses
