What could I put in a private forum ?

I'm planning on creating a forum which would be a bonus
(an incentive) for purchasers of a new product.

The forum would be for ClickBank affiliates and vendors
with IM subforums moderated by an expert.

I'm trying to compile a list of broad IM niches which
could fit a subforum and would appreciate your
suggestions.

Ideas so far:

- PPC (AdWords)
- SEO
- Copywriting
- Website Development (design, ecovers)
- Traffic generation
- Web 2.0 (blogs)
- Landing page and minisite strategies

and

- Site reviews
- JV requests
- Buy/Sell forum (to includes mentoring services)

Thanks
Harvey

Mods: I posted this yesterday and it vanished. Either lost as there were
database problems at the time or removed though I can't see why because
there is no link or sig file. I did question this at the Help Desk but no
reply. If there is a problem with it can you please PM me with the reason.
Thanks.

Could that be part of a bigger category along with similar technologies ?

          Harvey,

Perhaps a 'bigger category' could include all streaming media, e.g. video and audio. Perhaps even include graphics in that grouping.

I think as time goes by these elements will take on a more important role due to ever increasing bandwith and easy-to-use software. So while at the present moment most of us are used to static webpages, in five years that may not be the case.

I remember when putting a 67kb image on a webpage slowed the loading down to about a minute for the page. That was not that long ago, relatively speaking.

I guess what I'm alluding to is the possibility of audio/visual media becoming the fastest growing segment as far as thirst for knowledge in the not-to-distant future. This is one area where I believe the early adaptors may have a leg up on their competition once we reach the tipping point regarding audio/visual expectations on the web.

            Harvey,

Didn't notice it elsewhere, but with all the recent concern about legal compliance perhaps a sub-forum on site compliance, marketing ethics and best practices may benefit folks.

It could serve as a guide for entry level marketers and a reminder for those with experience.

so I could call it ClickBank Affiliate Marketing and
include some of your points there

Do you mean the 'how and where' of getting work outsourced

          OR

allowing members to announce their outsourcing services
          - which would be part of the Buy/Sell forum

I was thinking the "how and where tips". virtual assistants, programming/installers, graphics and writing. But offering services in buy/sell is a great idea too.

    Benefits

you can have all of the above but if when people say well whats in it for me and see the same as everywhere else then why will they need it there ?

There needs to be an exclusive yes i get something for me here, ? it might be inside scoops on new or hit products, it may be exclusive plr material but it needs to be what is it i get from here that stands out from the norm.

you then need a big stick to beat them away from the door as they push n shove to get in.

I think the exclusive feature is that each forum is run
by an expert in that topic.

I'd also repeat my original point that it's not a
standalone forum but a bonus that will go with a new
      product.

    You should consider to outsource
    - SEO
    - Copywriting
    - Website Development (design, ecovers)
    - Traffic generation
    - Web 2.0 (blogs)
    - Landing page and minisite strategies

      You've lost me.

I don't want to outsource anything.

I want to have subforums on these topics.

    Hey Harvey,

Yeah, I agree with a list building category and a separate forum for video marketing. The video forum doesn't need to have several categories to it, but something like how to use them effectively. You are starting a good forum for something like this.

Anyway, I wish you the best with it ...

I actually meant could there be an overall subforum which
includes video and 'similar' topics i.e is video part of
      a generic niche.

in all of your categories, you can further divide them into whitehat, greyhat and blackhat.
That is, if you have content on each of those topics.
