Is this the correct way to do it?

Hi

I am going to set up a squeeze page and offer a free report in exchange for there email, but i am also going to have a link to my blog at the bottom which will be on a sub domane.

I intend to put content on the blog with links back to my squeeze page.

Is this the right way to do it?

Thankyou

I would put that link for the blog only on the next page, i.e. either on the thankyou page or on the download page.

When you want their email - don't distract them with other options
Let them give the email and after that you can offer them all kind of links etc.

The idea behind your squeeze page is get them to do one thing while they are on your page. In your case.....this is for them to opt in.

The more information and options you have on your squeeze page the less likely the visitor will take the action you want.

I think having a link to your blog is the right way to go, because they can find additional information about you and your knowledge if they choose to, but keeps the focus on your squeeze page still on getting people to opt in.

If you mean in the footer of your squeeze page - don't do it.

Heed the advice given. Your squeeze page is to get the sign up - nothing else - so no distractions.

Once you have the sign up then you can offer your blog links, or whatever else, provided you treat your sign up in the appropriate manner ... but that's another subject.

        Jeff.
