Have you ever paid $97+ for a WSO?

I've been viewing tons of threads over on the WSO forum, and it looks like most are priced at $20 or below....I can see the strategy behind this....but, I rarely see ones that are priced at a $97 price point or above....

Has anyone here purchased a $97+ WSO product? Have you been satisfied with your purchase?.....based on the posted products, it doesn't seem like a $97+ product would stand a chance over on the WSO forum, unless you are Frank Kern or something like that...lol....

I've sold $497, my friend sold a bunch at $197.

    I've seen $997.

Depends on your model. I'm working on a gnarly WSO that goes into pricing, sales triggers, and a ton of other things. I also logged the last years worth of WSO's on a spreadsheet and looked at why some do better than others.

And yes in looking at that, there are a lot in that lower range. It has a lot to do with some specific calculations.

The higher priced stuff tends to be service based, or limited quantity.

I've also purchased something around $97, but again it was a service based item.

Those are easier to command higher price points because most people recognize the supply limits on talented labor, and will pay for it. Conversely most are savvy enough to recognize that the info stuff has almost no overhead and thus it takes some serious status, or copywriting to get er done.

I've paid more than $97 for WSOs in the past and have been VERY happy with the products.

I've never bought a bad WSO before, no matter what the cost they've always provided more value than the price I paid.

If you can make the product worth more than the $97, if it has some really good content, then people will be happy to spend the $97. I would live to see more $97 wso's.

I've never purchased a WSO...not yet, at least....

but, recently, I've been seeing a ton of products that made a HUGE promise, with a very low price tag (I believe it was that you can make $16,000 in 6 hours or less...and, was being sold as a WSO for $7...)...

There are things that go on over there that I guess as a newbie IM, I just don't understand...

If a product could really make someone $16,000 in 6 hours...why isn't that product being sold for at least $97?....

...is a casual onlooker to believe that everyone that buys that product will REALLY make $16,000 in 6 hours or less? AND....if people do purchase it, and don't receive those results, why don't those threads receive negative feedback...

lol...I can't make sense of it...

I think a successful entrepreneur will want to increase revenue by any (ethical!) means possible, that probably includes selling their system. What they don't really sell is their niches.. that's the really valuable part, and I don't blame them.

Big names sell their "20+ million in 48 hours" systems for a low price in comparison, for a great return on investment. Part of marketing is to make an offer you can't refuse and while I don't doubt that some of the claims being made are false, they are easily caught out.

Well, I wasn't really thinking because some info could be found for 'free'.....there really is ALOT to be said for people who mesh technical aspects of things with personal experience and develop a product around that....

All the Google searches in the world probably won't unveil THAT specialized knowledge base....that's why some are willing to pay so much for certain products....

Yes, but as a rule I won't pay more than $20-$30 unless the product is being offered by someone I already know and trust. There are a few people who I would, and have, paid many times $97 for something I am interested in because I know they provide great value.

It really does depend on what's on offer. I just ran a successful WSO for a coaching program and it sold out in a few days at $127 per order. But that's for something more involved than an ebook or video course. I usually charge under $15 for those because once you've created it you're done. You get the occasional question, of course, but you basically can walk away. I wouldn't sell it to the general public that inexpensively, but a WSO should be a SPECIAL Offer. Know what I mean?

I also think price (even in a WSO) has a lot to do with the author. If you've been a member here all of 2 weeks and no one knows you yet, good luck selling your $97 WSO. But that same person a year later who has participated and consistently added posts of real value here can probably sell that exact same product for $97 and do very well.

oh, I completely agree and understand, John...there's much more to be said about a poster who has been around for a bit and has contributed constructively to threads (and, the forum in general)....people become acquainted with their writing, and develop a trust, of sorts, in them...and, of course, their products....

" I wouldn't sell it to the general public that inexpensively, but a WSO should be a SPECIAL Offer"

...agree here, as well....does "SPECIAL" always have to be reflected in pricing though? Would it be "SPECIAL" if the product were released exclusively to Warrior Forum, BEFORE utilizing a list or releasing it directly to the target market, at the same price?.... (Letting Warrior Members have first 'dibs' at the product?)

"I just ran a successful WSO for a coaching program and it sold out in a few days at $127 per order."

      That's pretty impressive

P.s. I think I just responded to your post backwards....lol

Well, there are rules for WSO's, and one of them states that the price must be lower than the general public is offered. Your own email list members are excluded, if memory serves. But I take your point about a "Special" possibly including something you're debuting here. I see that sometimes and I'm sure I've bought one or ten of them. LOL I'm a serial WSO buyer. My wife calls me a "marketer's wet dream," which is funny but pretty ironic too, since I'm a marketer.

LOL....I think you are going to get quite a few laughs out of that, if not a chuckle or two....

hm....do you think a good approach to a WSO would be to maybe start out at a lower price, for a certain pre-stated quantity, then, walk up the price slowly depending on how everyone accepts it.... ?

I know the last thing anyone here would (err...should) do is rip off any fellow Warriors, but, for newbies, I think there's a tendency to not really know what price to start out at....

Have you seen people do something like?:

          First 100 for $80
          Second 100 for $90
          Remainder for $97

....lol....seems like a scheme like that could encourage a sense of urgency for a lower price....would that be acceptable here?

(I don't have a product completed yet...almost there....but, definitely trying to gauge how things general 'work' over there.....)

thanks for all your help/responses, John!

i haven't YET but as i become more educated and familiar with all the members i'm gaining confidence in the offers. i'll spend $97 or more here waaayyy before an e-mail or ad now. The make-up of this forum holds the vendors far more accountable than anything on the net. You get a bad rap in here and your business will reflect it.

    Hello Soldier,

Here is my 1,000 post and I would like to make it a meaningful one that might help other Warriors. Thank you to all Warriors for the many things that I have learned.

My first answer is ... What is the value?

Yes, I have purchased many services for $97 and more offered on this forum.

A WSO at that price would have to have a well respected and established Warrior author to be successful.

In a subject that I needed help with and believed there was a solid chance that I could make a reasonable profit in the near future.

There are so many things that one could weigh ... before pressing the Buy Button.

Each of us might have different priorities in creating that list, before we would be able weigh the Pros and Cons ... sort of like the Scales of Justice to make our decision.

Example-1 ... A car sold for $1,000 is usually a piece of junk that almost needs your mechanic riding along in the back seat ... but not always.

Example-2 ... A car sold for $80,000+ is usually a very nice ride that should give you no trouble ... but not always.

My last answer is to look for value, before purchasing anything ... I would like to see more WSOs here that are of a real solid value.

I Wish All The Best to Every Warrior ... that has made any contribution of sharing their information here.

PS ... The War Room Investment of $37 is the Biggest No-Brainier of this entire forum.

That was quite the 1,000+ post, DebtEliminator....thank you very much for taking the time to do it....

I'm hearing quite a few good things about the Warrior Room...I think it's finally time to take the plunge....

...would love to take your offer....but, I'm sure there are others here (maybe younger Warriors?) who could really use it and may be hurting for cash more than I am....

The generosity of this forum is amazing....I just read a thread about a gentleman who was new, but had been successful in IM, so offered to just basically give $100 to 10 random people he had never met before with no strings attached...

I get good vibes from this forum. REALLY good vibes.

Yes, several times and up to $500 or so for one which springs to mind, which was a developer license for a tool which I still use every day. It has been well worth the money for me, but there again so has a little app which I use all the time and cost me all of $9. It does a whole lot less, but it still does something that I need and justifies the price I paid for it. To me anything is worth it if it can recoup it's own costs and then some, whether that's in cash or indirectly in freeing up time so that I can use it to do something more profitable.

That's something a lot of people tend to forget - the 'time' factor, which is a cost too. They'll see a WSO for $17 or so that promises to put $100 dollars a day into their PayPal accounts and think 'great' because it's well within their budget, but they'll gloss over asking themselves if they can afford to invest the necessary time as well and will come across the product lying around on their hard drive months later and brand it a failure. It's not just about the money - to help avoid disappointment and wastage, you have to ask yourself whether you can afford to put in the hours too.

Yes I've paid over $97 for a WSO and was very pleased with the value I got. It was for a salesletter and was a steal in my opinion.

So in answer to your question, people definitely are purchasing WSO's in the $97 and over bracket.
