You can also Google your chosen phrase +vbulletin, +phpbb and +invision.

Like other have said "niche" + forum in google and big boards to find the largest forums around.

ForumBot by Incansoft lets you search from within the program for forums by keywords. It then adds all them to your profile and semi-auto signs you up for them. It's pretty slick.

I usually use Google for keyword+forum Example: weight loss forum Later after I've found several forums, I join and make a thread asking, "does anyone know weight loss forum beside this forum?" |

All I use is Google for most of the searching. Try using "" in your search.
